I love how this video has this golden color to it to match the design of Abbey Road Two.....I love those small details.

that double bass sound.. man I'm melting away. Releasing this after Black Friday is just a torture, it didn't spare any of us.

Great, immediate sound to this library. Another winner. It's easy to get a usable string sound when everything is doused in reverb, but not easy when things are exposed, and close-up.

This is my favourite strings library by quite a bit.

Guys, you've changed my life. Indescribable!! I think the sound quality just comes to life. I almost feel like the spirit of strings fill my speakers which is so inspirational, I never want to go back to a piece I've worked on, I want to keep creating something new. Awesome! Your libraries really inspire me to let go of any other brand of library with total confidence that I am not loosing a thing!

This is the intimate sound I've always been looking for! Please also have brass and winds libraries to pair it to (TWO). 🤤
@courtlaw13 жыл бұрын
Only thing I need to say is WOW. You definitely want the full version with the mic positions. For me this fits betting in my mixes than the BBC and Abbey Road One. It pairs perfectly with those libraries but using this with the London contemporary Orchestra Strings is sounding like a match made in heaven. Definitely glad I got this. I am a sucker for good Double bass and Cello samples.

Can't wait to add this to the arsenal. This demo exactly addresses every single concern and, my goodness, I sure wish I'd just skipped some of the others! Will reserve final judgement but all of my experience with Spitfire thus far suggests this will be THE tool I'll be using in the studio for final score prep and demos!

Really nice sound coming from the strings. I know some folks are griping about the core version not having portamento, but you can still compose some very nice arrangements that doesn't necessarily require portamento. Hopefully, you'll follow this up with a woodwind or brass library to compliment Abbey Road 2.

Coincidentally, exactly what I had been looking for, wonderful. A very important thing to me though is: Is there a vibrato control? That feature (coupled with the outstanding sounds) has always been the deciding factor for me to buy Spitfire libraries instead of the competition. I play several instruments myself and vibrato is just as important to the musical impact as volume. I didn't see it in the video or heard it mentioned. Answer would be much appreciated!

The performance legato patches don't have vibrato control. Only on the longs, it seems.

@@composingtips That seems very odd. Are you sure?

So it seems, I also went through the manual and found a few specific instances of mentioning vibrato control but for the long patches only...so not on the legato patches, which is a bummer, I might hold out because of that...

Hi, i got it, sounds great and exactly what i was looking for. One problem thought : i find that the dynamic of the shorts is a bit hard to control on the keyboard ( even when changing the dynamic control) you really have to play very " sweet "not to have too much attack... would be Nice to be able to change the range of the dynamics ( Well i have to change it on MY keyboard to make it sound right)
@thomaslausen32493 жыл бұрын
In the spitfire player you can change how you want velocity to work. Just press the three dots top right , and choose velocity mapped to dynamics

Great stuff! Love the "Live" mode - it sounds really amazing and fun and easy to use, without having to switch around through all the articulations. And the "Ensemble Mixing". It's also gives me an idea of what might come next for Abbey Road One, in terms of new innovative interface options. Thank you, Spitfire, for working so hard to create the next greatest thing! Bravo!

I have BBCSO Pro and I am battling myself about whether to get this. On the one hand, I have every instrument and articulation on offer here, but the up-close tone is here is totally adifferent, and after seeing Knives out, I can very much see the value of gritty in-your-face strings.

Hi! Are there vibrato controls? P.S. The measured tremolos sound fantastic, and the arranger is a very welcome and very cool feature.

I really hope there is a patch for a long note crossfade with a short note. Sometimes I want to have a long note with strong attack but the attacks of the performance legato and live patche are not strong enough.
@natus493 жыл бұрын
I have to be honest, I've got mixed expectations for this library. Really looking forward to seeing what people do with it, cos the room sounds great evidently, but the samples just sound quite unconvincing, that is, right until you hear that lovely reverb tail after they stop playing, especially using the mic's placed further out.

It would be great if you could persuade Abbey Road to allow Audioease to sample their studio two for Altiverb so we could blend these sounds with other instruments.

Didn't need it... Bought it (Core)! Nice library to have, however still doesn't like the legato for fast passages. It has that going 30 meters back effect, compared to the sustained notes. Legato speed control doesn't do much to fix that. The sound of the shorts and sustains is amazing! Also, portamento missing is kinda failure. I would rather have it and pay a bit more for the core as I'd never upgrade for one articulation since I don't need the extra mics. I believe that's the case not only for me.
