my feedback about the UI: I suggest to find a way to better visualize the entire grid, maybe add a function that allows the user to switch between different window layouts (just a few, like 2-3); right now the giant knob is not so ergonomic (in my opinion) because it forces the user to scroll down to see all of the grid.

How could you be excited after the recent competition fiasco that has happened (I don't want to even mention titles)...
@MarcusHedenberg4 жыл бұрын
@@zaharishtonov I'm of the opinion that the competition did exactly what it needed to and made one winner very happy. Or at least it should have, but people apparently can't stop making a ginormous deal out of it. You're entitled to your opinion if you didn't like the winning entry, and by the same token, I'm entitled to the opinion I'm about to give you. It's quite petty to call it a 'fiasco' and direct that negativity to the rest of Spitfire's work when they've done quite a bit for the composer community in a short few years - arguably more than most companies out there. If one competition bothers you *this* much, fine, but it's hardly the most productive use of your time.

Sounds great as always. Just absolutely baffled why no one thought to include a keyswitch option so you can just switch the entire keyboard between patterns, which is infinitely more pragmatic than a randomize function. Also nowhere in the video did it demonstrate a CC controlling dynamics while patterns are playing. How many dynamic layers are there and how seamlessly do they transition?
@zaharishtonov4 жыл бұрын
Spitfire always show you the positive parts of their products. You find the rest only after you've already purchased the libraries... I say, wait and see for some independent reviews to start coming out. As far as CC controlled dynamics, these are all short articulations so it would probably be all based on velocity I assume.
@MoonhareStudio4 жыл бұрын
The usual setup on these Spitfire libraries is that the second slider controls the dynamics and it maps to CC1. Also worth remembering that you can always download the manual before shelling out for a library to see what functions it has that aren't covered in the basic walkthroughs.

@PhilReyGibbons4 жыл бұрын
Not so much difference I guess, just the quality that has largely improved. I sometime use these as a "guide" for composing (like you would compose with piano, than develop for orchestra). Usefull cause it can go with your flow, and include a sense of rythm without having to program while composing. Then, when your track is "done", you may replace, change, arrange etc... Or even keep some of it ;)

Even with my eyes closed and headphones on, I could barely distinguish between them. My only ask @spitfire is to please add a closer close mic - I get it, being in the hall and adding a mic that captures none of the room is criminal - but as you've captures the room in all other mic positions, I'd love to have a really, reaaally close mic to add some additional clarity. As I said, buying anyway as it sounds fantastic!

I think he was supposed to change the 3 mic sliders about then save it to one of those 3 MIX slots - but failed to do that - maybe he did not realize it's implementation or just assumed we would not need to know that - just showing us how to switch between the mixes once stored...My best guess... It's a marketing funnel. The 'available now' video is public, it links to the product page which is where this video can be found. Once you get a potential customer to the product page, they're more likely to order. I'd guess that after the initial marketing campaign tapers down, they'll probably make this video public on KZbin.
