WALL-E (PC/PS2/PSP) Test Levels (Unused Gameplay Elements, Scrapped Concepts/Ideas, etc.)

These were found a long time ago, but I realized I've never uploaded a full video about them, so here it is, the WALL-E PC, PS2, and PSP test levels used in early development of the game. These levels are currently only available to play by modding the PSP version of the game, since that's the only version that has the files for these levels left over. They contain lots and lots of unused gameplay elements, NPCs, scrapped ideas and/or concepts, and more.

Hey Tadd, does this work on PS2 or PCSX? Im just wondering because Ive had trouble trying to access the _Master Folder on the PS2 Files (Disk) and dont know where I could insert them. I would really appreaciate a Response because the Code and Files of each Wall-E Game are certainly interesting and would love to explore these Test Levels in Detail.

@@vibes8930 you replace the other chapters with this change, so load a normal level, it will bring you to the test levels.

"Note that I can't look in a certain direction due to the game crashing when doing so. The cause for this is a dark Wall-E bot standing at the other side of the room, whose purpose is still unknown." So.. Some of the test rooms of the PSP version have a mysterious belligerent shadow Wall-E that crashes your game if you so much as look in his general direction? That's actually kind of really scary, like that's straight up some creepypasta type stuff, thank heavens Dark Wall-E was cut from retail.

I think the cubes that you can only break with box charge were most likely place holders for the cubes you in the playground sections of the game, since there is no way to make cubes so you can only box charge at them, everything else seems to be different versions of already existing items, they were most likely editing into items in the final product, or were scrapped for being to complicated.

As someone that hacks the PS2 version on a regular: These Levels require a different method to be added into the Game, unless said Files are not in that version of the Game anymore. How so? My answer to that revolves around the fact that the PS2 version is under extreme measures of Protection. We are talking about secret Folders here. If I really wanted to know that these Levels existed, id need to find out about ways of access first, mainly the Folder named "_MASTER". The PC version is the only one I havent tested yet due to Issues. (Spec and personalwise) TADD-A stopped uploading exactly when I was getting really into my Research, thus this made me excited, but i soon realized the best thing would have been to estabilish Contact, sadly to no avail. Hopefully someone else will take up the burning Torch of this Mistery and find a way to dig deeper...

Just now saw all this, haven't uploaded at all since this is a 2nd account of mine, but I've been active in the WALL-E server still. Had no idea _MASTER is a thing, definitely not in the PC version. PSP is the only version that has these levels still in the game, PC is my main version usually but because of that I had to record it on this version with an emulator If you ever wanna discuss more you can join the server, we have dedicated channels to all WALL-E games

I hope that someday we can get all of this into the PC version with higher quality textures and all, although with how obscure this game is, it may be difficult to find a resolve

Also, someone should document this on TCRF, its a big enough discovery, could probably use your video as evidence of these cut levels and features.

@@shelbyforthright697 sadly I couldnt get my Hands on the PC version. Due to various Financial Issues and Pirating wasnt an option due to me not being able to find a trustworthy site for it. What I did attempt was trying to use PCSX2 to run the PS2 version (ive already owned and did previous videos on) to see if I could get into that Room. The Game kept denying me a lot, I eventually called it quits there, as it was way more... protective. Plus it would crash/not load if you changed the Files (As the Files were under Burnprotection, plus Cheat Engine is no help either as its limited) The PSP version currently has been the only one ive been able to access this at.

Probably just a placeholder. These are just test levels after all. Either that, or TADD-A just modded the game to replace WALL-E with EVE to better reach different areas.
