Either Portland cement or Masonry cement are mixed with 16 shovels of sand to 1 bag of cement. Too much sand will make cement weaker. Normally, other additives are added to waterproof and add to the bonding process. Which are not used here. This cement work process is an ancient way and is not done in most countries in Canada, the US, Britain, and European countries,only here! Have a great day! I am plasterer 1963😊

@user-co2tn8dp2o depending upon how much you want,but for a full bag of cement, 16 shovels of sand, and approximately a pail(5 gallon)and a third water. You can ajust the water, but just remember that you can put water in, but if you put too much water in, you can't take it out. Don't make too watery. If you do add more cement and sand to thicken up.
