It’s another LFPA Spotlight! This month we will learn all about New Mexico and how they have created a thoughtful infrastructure, including an innovative approved supplier program, that can enable their work and those of Farm to School and Farm to Food Bank practitioners. They will tell us more about their strong value system regarding culturally relevant foods, and how that has shaped their approved supplier program and meat/protein processing on a statewide level. This is a panel discussion with several of New Mexico’s LFPA partners so we will address the topic from many perspectives, including the processes they use to handle procurement, invoices and reporting from both the administrator and subgrantee perspective and their bid process. We will also learn about how they handle specialty foods like Navajo baby food. There will be ample time for Q&A to address your relevant technical assistance needs.
