I'm from Moreton and now live in Huntington Beach.When i look at these pictures it reminds me alot of New Brighton which i can remember the late 60s and early 70s when the place was still bouncing.

I live in California but was birn in Wallasey and have been back many times but not for the last 5 years. Thanks so much, I really loved seeing Liscard, scene of many happy memories!

Thanks for this. I'm from Wallasey but now live in Los Angeles. It's a pity that so much has been taken from Wallasey (hospitals, cinemas, etc.) and we seem to get further and further from civility and gentility. I too went to Oldershaw but not from the years mitzi1a was asking about as I'm only 41. ;) Cheers.

I'm from there too and went to the same school. Hope to be re visiting very soon, as I still miss my home town. So I love coming accross stuff like this.. even tho it's long before my time. I'll always have a special place in my heart for my hometown 😊💝❤💙❤💙

Think you're out by about 10 years for Bent's Tower pub (2.55) at top corner of Mill Lane.I can remember about 1959/62 playing and getting chased in the derelict houses around what was Scott St and Tower Rd which were eventually levelled and made way for the Tower pub and Liscard precinct...I was also a regular visitor to Conway swings back of "Leccy showrooms" with best mates John and Steve Smith..ahh! Good memories.

Liscard is a shadow of it's former self like the rest of Wallasey. Wirral Borough Council don't care about Wallasey, we all know which town on the peninsula they do care about. The only way for Wallasey to get a fair deal is to have it's own council reinstated which was taken away by the Tory government. By the way I have watched nearly all of your Wallasey videos and they are great. Please keep them coming. Thanks.

i live in wallasey .. infact i am in it right now .. this vidio has made me quite prowed of were i liv considering everyvody from usa is interested :) its amazing and so is ceny park and all the old places .. you should do a vidio of what it is like now .. whitch i totally diferentt :) i thougtht it was very interesting :)

There was a Liscard Castle by Seaview Road.That's why there is a Turret Road and a Castle Road.

Liscard is a pathetic excuse for a shopping centre.But I suppose you can always go to Brighthouse and buy a 62" TV on the never never which will cost about £8000 if it isn't reclaimed for not keeping up with the payments.

But in the 1960s and 1970s Liscard was a very good shopping centre. In fact it was an excellent place all round.
