An awesome video, Wallie! Rite Aid was Eckard, Eckard was Thrift Drug. When the pharmacy was Thrift Drug, JC Penney had a catalog ordering center in the pharmacy. Now, when Rite Aid went out of business, the pharmacy became Walgreens. As always, Alan.

I was just at a Rite Aid a liquidator was clearing out -- they abandoned pretty much everything when they closed. Amazing.

I used to ride my bike from the Knolls down to that Jefferson Memorial Cemetery and pass by the Foodland in the early 90s. I sometimes used to buy my mother cigarettes at the gas station across the street. (I was 11 lol) There was a Thrift Drug next to Foodland and a Video Game Exchange in that same strip. The video Game Exchange was so cool. They had CRT televisions on the wall and I could play Sega CD. Wow, that's so cool to see today. Thanks for sharing! 🙏😊

My old community. I assume that is along Lebanon Church though I was surprised to see the store that is in the former Kroger. You mentioned that the business was moved to the location at Caste (pron Cast-ee) Village. It is located at Baptist and Weyman Roads in Whitehall. Fun fact - Caste Village dates back to approximately 1950-52 and is still going strong. Mr. Caste was a builder who developed that area around the shopping center. Many good people live in that area.

In, Detroit and there was a Rite Aid Pharmacy, that is now a 5 Below Store, and a old CVS PHARMACY, is now a Store Front Church. 2:20

21 years later and I still miss Eckerd, which was acquired by CVS in Texas. One day, I just noticed all of the Eckerds in Houston either closed or became CVS.
