I'm looking at the H7 step through AWD for my mom with mobility issues in the same situation and I want her to be able to get out at the activity level she's comfortable with. Thanks for the review

For the purists, walk a mile in this gentleman’s shoes. You’re on the right track Paw Paw. Disregard the naysayers. Have fun and be safe sir!!!

This is perhaps one of the best videos I have seen and I have seen many about how to climb hills on a bicycle. Generally everyone shows their bike on flat terrain or small hills. In addition, the video was very funny with spectacular landscapes. I didn't want it to end, but you were frozen. Great teaching and beautiful trip . One should always be prepared for long trips. Greetings from Osorno, Chile. Amigo.

Good for you. I would pedal every chance you can with no throttle. That combined with the fact that you will be on that thing for hours will indeed help with exercise, weight, and fitness.

You need to be in low gear at the start of the hill then increase your PAS to maintain a moderate continuous speed. No point in trying to race up the hill and once your speed starts dropping it is harder to get maintain forward motion. İf hills still cause a problem an inexpensive option is to change the gear setup, most ebikes come with 14-28 teeth changing to a Megarange with 14-34 teeth helps. I know that if you use both motors on your bike that this won't be necessary but in Europe with our restrictions on power we have to find other alternatives to resolve problems I bought my first ebike about 2 months before you and am still tweaking it, changed seat, put on mirror then changed it for better one next will probably change bell as I want it positioned near my thumb so I can get to it quickly if some idiot walks out in front of me and will probably change to Megarange gears. For securityI have put on an inexpensive movement alarm for if I am going to be in sight but also got a diamond rated D lock ( think that you might call these U locks in the States) with a cable (Yale) for times when bike might be out of sight, shopping or swimming in summer.

thanks for the info. that hill is extremely steep i probably would have been ok in first gear pas5 but i panicked when i saw the car in my rear view and tried to switch to awd but accidentally hit the pas- so i went to pas4 and when you hold down the i button it goes to fwd first slowing me down further so i was pumping with all my might just to make the neighbors driveway which was huge rocks and literally like hanging on the side of a mountain. i need to get to know my bike more but will be in awd on that hill from now on

@@PapaPR3232 Yes, önce you start to loose momentum it is hard to get it back unless you are very fit, at 72 I am not that strong.

Thank you for showing a real hill /gravel .so many channels show flat ground or a short incline....those of us who NEED a hill climber have to look far and wide

You are welcome. I wish the video was capable of showing the steepness and length of this hill. This bike is amazing that it can carry my weight and the weight of the bike itself up this hill in AWD. I wont make the mistake of doing RWD on this hill again though

I hear yah. I'm in the same predicament. I'm now fat and the arthritis from all the fun has caught up to me.. Just what you are doing on that bike would kick my butt . It looks so fun though. I can see myself slowly pushing myself a little more each ride. Anything is better than what I have been doing(nothing). I'm getting one.😎👍

I was the same my first ride was a little difficult. What is nice is you can decide how much work you want to put in. The bike can do almost all of it or you can do most. The fat is coming off and the energy is coming back

is it recommend to switch modes under load ?; I know a lot of people in the dual motor escooter community recommend not switching unless there no current going through the systems. And some people don't like running single motors at all depending on the system ?; Can you just make it weaker in just dual motor config ?(seems like that would be best for distributing heat between motors.)

I dont usually throttle while changing modes or pedal assist but during this video i was learning. It is best to be in the pedal assist mode and motor config you want before starting a hill. This ebike has an automatic AWD mode but it is too weak for my big hills. I usually ride in my area in AWD mode but on flat to moderate landscapes i would have no problem riding in RWD only. We also have a single motor Wildeway ebike that does very well on the hills so i dont see any issue with using RWD ebikes i dont recommend using the Wallke H9 in RWD only on big hills as it is very heavy. Most all of the newer ebikes use at least 750w motors or even very strong 500w. I think alot of the old rules pertaining to how not to overheat an ebike motor are old news. These motors are very strong

Yea i have not ridden a bike in over 35 yrs and this was my second attempt. I didnt realize the FWD pops up before the AWD so it slowed me more, then i accidentally hit the minus button slowing me more to pas 4. it was a total panic and choke
