Immediately this is why I respect Yee- her ability to provide answer to wallo’s immediate question on the book shows she did her research! Not only did she draw in her audience, this helped him to actually feel welcomed like wow you did actually read

This has nothing to do with Wallo what I’m about to comment. I think he is a beautiful example for children and adults and I commend him for how he moves. My problem is we see people like him and other people who have made it out of the mess that they came from or maybe even what we have put ourselves in and it is an assumption that if you’re not doing it then it must mean you’re not working hard enough or making the right choices. Even if that’s somewhat true for some individuals, we are really letting this system off the hook for what it produces in this country and if you don’t understand what I mean then I feel sorry for you but at this point, maybe I should feel sorry for me because I’m in the minority with this kind of thinking nowadays.
@lemuelmalik83473 ай бұрын
You have to remember enslaved breeding this was apropos and so coming out of slavery looking at depictions like The Color Purple where individuals married these individuals they just wasn't shacking up and or dating they were marrying my mother's mother was 19 and my grandfather was 30 years older than her that was his third wife but so beautifully they lasted for 60 years until his death and my grandmother just passing about 4 years ago the point is it was in those days a part of the culture not just in the black community but globally even today you have certain cultures where young girls are bequeath to a person you know and so it's what happens to help cultures uplifted self whatever at the end of the day though when you are a father of daughters and you know how raggedy are Society is especially within the Black Culture you tend to not want your daughter to connect with those types of human beings whether young or old hence we strive to love our daughters so they can become independent enough where they can discern and when I say independent I mean in their clear spiritual mental emotional thinking not just Financial which is important but they have to be strong in all of those other aspects also

Nope! In the old days it was culturally acceptable for older men to date young women. It was not seen the same way it is today. So you can judge today by the same standards as back then 💯
@Ava443223 ай бұрын
Something being culturally accepted doesn’t make it right. Slavery and public lynching was acceptable too. You’re not making since.

@@Ava44322 mixing apples and oranges. definitely don’t know anything about critical thinking. Lynchings Slavery was never acceptable! Such an idiotic statement! These things happened under duress to a powerless group of people. What I said above is something that was conscientious on the part of different communities around the country.
