@@MrVStrategy took me 6 months. The defeats were more painful when faced with Ottoman. It was unfair that a CIV was so good at rushing and I couldn't find how to defend from early rush. Until I discovered pillarless walls and Minuteman. God I love walls. Cazador behind walls are immortal.

@@mpchris01 Ports are good for new players because the free TC's force them to expand and build villagers like a pro. It is hard to become an expert because they are a bit weaker in 1v1 supremacy before mid-age 4. The civ is built for map control, not hiding in a corner behind walls. You can't wall the map. I think the team wall card for ports is kind of silly. Most team boost cards don't benefit the civ that issues it that much. Or it is considerably nerfed versus the normal card.

Have fun that's the Best way to learn. For defense and the Wall Card + I've used it in a few Team Games. 1 v 1 it's all a game of Chess. What is the Aztec player even doing? I don't understand this aoe3 player mentality of NOT ageing up Ageing up means more economy, more tech, which in return means more and more powerful armies. It's simple as that If your opponent went 3rd age why would you be so stubborn on staying age 2 and spamming just a few puny basic units? Same for age 3 vs age 4. The economy boom from 3 to 4 is absurd. You should at least make use of the territorry you control.

I sort of understand it. Players know that aging is a resource-intensive move. Those resources not being invested in units have lost games before. Perhaps he was worried Port would be able to break out of the contain and access new resources? Either way, fun game!

I won't subscribe if you showcase really bad players. Noobs build walls and hide. You should at least point out what they should be doing with the counter system.

Looking again, the Port was an amazing waller. No gaps after the pillars down. Your commentary was educational and entertaining. This strategy only works well with the AI however. I suggest you find an angle other than AI experts. Maybe find some STOMP games or 2v2 or 3v3 games. Then there are all the strange scenario games I see on multiplayer. No one seems to cast them. I will check back.

Walls are the sign of a good player. Noobs don't build walls and lose as a result.

@@jamiemcphillips335 I don't think you have been on multiplayer much where age 2 all-round walls are #1 sign of a bad noob. The team usually quits when the noobs does this. They help with AI who doesn't know how to handle them. Noobs use walls to box out their team and just hide out. Team games require that everyone engages with the inbound mass no matter how nice their wall is.

@@geoffwitt4227 What elo are you? Walls prevent raids, provide line of the sight. The #1 player on the 1v1 is notorious for using walls. Walls = wins. Walling makes you a better player.
