Saw them play at a church in Round Lake IL back around 2003 or 2004. I was "security" to keep the kids from going on stage. Pretty good. I liked how they incorporated elements of speed metal into their core.

Loved their first EP + 2 records. Got kinda bored after that (mostly with the whole scene, not just WOJ - I'm getting old). Btw I love it when kids compare them to bands like Hatebreed coz that's the most high profile metalcore band they know. WOJ have been prominent since the 90's. If anything, the albums Hatebreed produced since Perservance may well have been influenced by WOJ.

+Simon Williams people comment on all sorts of videos w/o knowing anything about the subject, probably not even viewing the video. WOJ is not like Hatebreed at all. Hatebreed is the sort of band I did love in my 20's, saw then about 10 times live, and then, I almost feel like outgrew them. Got into listening to different stuff then same hardcore. WOJ are different, more depth to appreciate then Hatebreed angst.

Always see comments about how, “oh hey, it’s paramore.” Like that’s an actual insult??? Haley is a talented singer and Paramore is a great band in their genre. Candace also does really well in her genre and can sound better than some of the men that sing hardcore. Not really understanding how it’s an insult, if people that say this, mean it in that manner.
