Yesterday I watched the Maryland House of Delegates Zoom hearing livestreamed on YT, broadcast all over the world. They were discussing companies selling personal biometric data, hacking and security issues. One of the delegates took a personal phone call, and began to discuss some private business. She had no idea that Zoom would focus on her, broadcasting her conversation to the entire world. Worse, the Chair of the meeting did not know he could simply mute her. All the delegates just screamed at her on Zoom until she muted herself. Bless her heart, but still--these are the people making the rules about hacking and security.

But you're so used to being punched in the face you pull through and win the game. Now the man you played against is jumping up and down having a tantrum because he's so out of pocket, because he paid so much assuming he *will* win, but in fact he did not, and the hired muscle is demanding his money from the man for his services, but he cannot pay out. But what will happen is the chess man's rich friends will come along and give him billions of dollars to pay the help, and launch an investigation into you for somehow winning the game despite being punched in the face, despite no illegal moves were made in the game of chess.

The argument against capitalism is often predicated on the idea that people are busy, apathetic, and don't work with perfect information. That take is right 90% of the time, but the rebuttal is always, 'well, they COULD be better, so it's the people that are broke, not the system.' This past week, people have been focused, mentally invested, and working on excellent, publicly available information. It turns out certain concepts of stock trade aren't actually that complicated, and that organization can be public and open. The rich "apex predators" of the financial system are quivering in their boots, because they're finding out that their Econ professors were RIGHT. The only reason they could prey on the public and their businesses was because the public didn't want to fight back, to take advantage. Well, the public cares now, and their curtain of invulnerability is gone. Fuck yeah, Adam Smith. The only thing that could fuck it up now is the government stepping in, or conversely allowing the failed hedge-funds to (illegally) default on their investments and incestuously bail each-other out with zero legal repercussions, even though a private citizen doing the same would be jailed.

The issue with how the rich people make money is that they do "insider trading" but have enough buddies on the SEC to make sure they're legally protected. Or they use legal loopholes that only they know of. Capitol was well and truly a mostly peaceful protest, yet the feds are going after participants as if they burned the place down to the ground. So too are the many common people that participated in this investment hype going to get treated like stock manipulators, financial criminals. At this rate the elite will soon be reminded of another meaning for the word hacking - hacking to pieces with an axe, American Psycho style.

While not completely without bias, you may possibly be one of the most objective people to exist on youtube. Keep that up man. Keeps me comin back. Lol about the car extended warranty scam call. I get a few of those a week.

When individual shorts and gets rekt, they get broke and end up with a lot of problems and debt. But when hedge fund does it and gets rekt its called hacking and they get free money to avoid debt and problems... Something is rotten in Denmark

"Our country is run by people who do not understand technology" Any millenial that has ever held a job can relate
@Chrysaetos33 жыл бұрын
I really felt that! It's so frustrating that those people are making the laws on something they don't understand. If there's just _one_ good thing about this past year, it's that understanding technology has no longer become a choice. The out-of-touch who refuse to learn and use it to improve our lives have been forced to get to grips with it.

I’ve got mad respect for you! I’ve enjoyed your previous videos. However, this video finally made me subscribe. Truth speakers, like yourself, need to be recognized. The DD on GME some people posted on r/wallstreetbets was absolutely nuts. Some guy posted an article and a link to a PDF that was like 22 pages long. It was basically full of information on why the short squeeze was going to be so massive.

@@jakext2095 They posted it two or three weeks ago (when the price was still around $19), so it's probably buried by now. Just look through older posts related to GME and you'll stumble across it. I don't have the link handy.
