My sons will drive up the wall, we live in Utah so there are plenty of enough places to drive this, It is a good starter/ long term car for kids or even grownups just wanting to have some fun on a budget, just bought 2 more batteries off of amazon. My son's friend has one that costs $500 custom made, hangs with that one all day. You can for sure tell the difference in quality though when you compare the 2, overall a fun toy for anyone to own.

Try turning the remote on first. Then the car. If that doesnt wok, just exchange it at walmart whenever you go there for essential items. Please dont go just to do the return

For the price it's a good rc truck. The build quality is good. No spare parts are available for this truck, other than that it's pretty good for a toy RC.
