Hey Sarah, just a little tip. A couple of years ago, I got several velvet effect (flocked) large tree ornaments really cheaply, after Christmas (£0.50 each), they were terrible pink colour with lots of dust discolouration I ended up painting them with sample pot burgundy simple wall paint, and it not only covered the ugly colour, but it still looked flocked and very pretty. So, as long as the item is already flocked, after a couple of coats, you can have it in your colour of choice 😊

I love the deep, antiqued burgundy color. I incorporate it all over my house as I decorate for holiday in an olde world style using all antiques, etc. it can be difficult to find. I did purchase the raw wood beaded garland and to make it my own I’m painting them in the color Antique Maroon by DecoArt

I got my PB small deer last month and received the medium sculpted tree on Friday. I ordered them both September 7. They had been back ordered and I’m very happy I got them at all. I missed them last year. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and pay for the good stuff. My Walmart did not get the dupes that I know of…

I was able to get 2 of the MTH garland but returned it. It was too heavy and flat on my mantel. I'm sticking to my favorite , the Walmart Holiday Time Sonoma cypress garland with broken up pieces of the famous Hobby Lobby cedar picks! I'm sure whatever you do with it will be absolutely gorgeous though lol! Thank you for sharing your haul/!

I’m planning on using it on our stairs or the mantel, have to play around with both ideas and see but if I use it on the mantel will definitely be adding additional stems to it to give it some body 🎄

I was able to get a hold of two of the My Texas house 4’ trees. I’m using one on each side of my fireplace and it looks beautiful. Had to get them early. They are out of stock every where around here. Been trying to get the black metal deer and the cedar garland but no luck

Hi Sarah! I've been trying to get the Pottery Barn deer....prefer black but would go with brass...for two years. I can't get them til Mid December. Like I'm going to take that chance! What is it when you check when they first are on the website and that's the downtime? Not sure but guess this year I will not be getting them. I saw some "similar" at HomeGoods but I do like the more "twiggy" version as I have a more narrow mantel and I do some other things on it so I need them to be "skinny." 😂 I do have a few of those Amazon glass bulbs and they are so beautiful. I put a couple of strings on my mantel and wow it elevated that to the next level. But the glass ones are heavy so you really have to anchor them so they don't fall. I usually start decorating in November (the perimeter rooms) as I only have one day off a week and it takes me awhile....lots of decor and stairs....lol. Decor is going fast in these stores! Do you what happened with Hearth & Hand and Studio McGee just being sold online? I missed most of that...will they restock in the stores or was that it? When I heard the release date I though that was the date in stores not online.

Home goods has had a ton of great alternatives available this year! Definitely check them out! I’m looking at Christmas come June / July 😅 dedicated to the cause 🎄 Goodness the Target lines did some weird stuff this year, online release but not in store the same day. I’m definitely not pleased and many feel the same about it!

Hey Sara, I scored the garland from my Texas house, I got the 7 1/2 foot tree so will see, I was planning on having it in a bedroom n not sure I will even decorate it,? I also was able to score the Home Depot tree 7 1/2 foot, I wanted it last year n couldn’t get it n got the tree u have but it’s too short, was expensive from king of Christmas n I am giving it to my daughter n her bf so I have a plan! I use a lot of alpine trees as I scored better quality ones n not pre lit years ago before they were so expensive so I tie them all in! I go the reindeer. Something similar we Christmas sale from a local shop n going to be digging my totes out soon plus it’s getting chilly here so need to get clothes blankets etc. out! Great video n thank u so much for sharing, I too am excited about the Christmas decorating season, I have been enjoying going to our fall festivals n looking in the stores to just see what they have, grab a few things here n there, being mindful of the spending n the versatility of the items as u pointed out! My local Walmart doesn't carry any of these items at all. I typically have to drive 45 minutes to a neighboring town. I've been checking online & they don't show any of these items available in store, so either they haven't stocked them yet or the website is just wonky. I'll keep checking!

@@laughlovelangella ok so I got both sets in now. The gold deer from Lowe’s are blow molds, can be used indoors or out. The set from Sam’s is resin and looks like wood with real touch wreaths. They look awesome but not as big as Sam’s for sure. But way bigger than like HL deer. They are beautiful. Holiday Time from Walmart does have a black blow mold set that I’m waiting to arrive that look so much better than the Lowe’s sitting ones. They are $99.

I’ll have to say, it bothers me when youtube influencers make purchases simply because the item went”viral” last year and they certainly don’t want to miss out again. Seems like sometimes they don’t really want/need the item but heaven forbid they feel like they missed out. Frustrating for people who watch these channels and head to the store only to find things sold out. Totally the FOMS

I can totally understand that, I only pick up the items that I missed out on that I really wanted myself for our home. Additionally, I reuse so much of my decor each year but I know it can be frustrating when I share older items that no one else can purchase so it helps to have more current items in the mix to share as well. Most important thing is no matter what others are sharing, only grab what you want to incorporate into your home that reflects your own style!
