I use old towels, dish cloths to clean up spills and cleaning. It saves me a lot of money. And I also wash and recuse my ziploc bags several times. That is for cost and the environment.

Prices are crazy right now! I love the bagged salads, too. To make my own, I use baby greens and add shredded coleslaw mix. It’s pretty inexpensive and adds a nice crunch. Also, a lot of hummus recipes use tahini, which can be pricey. It’s just a paste made from sesame seeds, so I just buy sesame seeds and grind them up with the chickpeas and garlic, some salt, olive oil and lemon juice. Very yummy!

Another subscriber uses Tahini also. I think I'll just get some seeds. Or maybe just experiment and make it with what I have. I do need to get some lemon juice though.

lol, I also went to Walmart today, but my bill came to $184.00 but I also bought some new outdoor chair cushions because my old ones were duck taped and the tape wasn’t sticking anymore… and I bought dog food also. You're a trooper, work all day on Sunday, short notice and change of plans; plus a huge haul and carry in ; plus a video, and still have a smile at the end of the day. Yeah ive quit buying the bag salad kits. I enjoyed them and they are quick, but on sale here they still around $4. And the quality became less. Started getting a lot more lettuce stems and not much other greens in the mix. So i just buy a head of lettuce. Hopefully a change for the better on the way. Still getting some decent cantalopes on sale and blue berries. I been mixing those like you did, sprinlke a little sugar on and chill, a good summer snack. I wonder about blending that and freeze it like a smoothie or something lol.

​. Hey Robin. No it shouldn't be so expensive to live. I'm glad for your watermelon. Good choice. That's one thing I haven't bought. $10 here in my community. Cantaloupe $4. I've got the last two for $2 a piece at grocery store. I went twice last week, $72 and $43. Saved $16 on sale one trip, and Idk what I saved the second. Plus dollar General a couple times. Yeah I like staying stocked up on toothpaste and soap and laundry and dish detergent. I told my sister about those brillo cleaning clothes, and gave her a couple; and she went and bought some.

Yes, it is, and Walmart has always been my go-to for grocery shopping because they have been cheaper. It shouldn't be so expensive to live!

Hi Sabrina. I just clean them, getting rid of the hair on them, and then clean them with hot soapy water, a little bit of bleach, rinse really well.

Do you have 99¢only stores in your area ? Because the exact same salad kits that you buy , are $2.49 at the 99¢ store. I buy them all the time I love the sweet kale one.

Pasta dishes. Pasta is cheap and you can add alot to it. Buy as much generic as possible. Dont buy processed or packaged, ready made stuff.

First , prices are getting out of hand I went to walmart yesterday Prices went up again, i ask the girl at the register , she stated Yes, they are going up each day , she thought it was awful Yum bobo's , so good I use dish towels more then ever now , paper towels are getting to expensive Get some rest, It will be nice to go to the beach , during the week , there might not be a lot of people

My husband and I agree prices are ridicules. They raise the prices then have less product inside. I dont know what theu are thinking. Do they think we dont notice them going up every day? I worked for WM. for 20yrs. but they are getting as high as every where else😔. Oh well enjoy the rest of your evening😊

I think I may start using dish towels , or even those handi-wipe things I like to buy at the Dollar Tree. They are reusable for a few times. I have plenty of dish towels too.
