That black vase....take a chip brush, very lightly dip it in mid tone grey and then brush it on a paper towel until the paint is almost gone....then take that brush and lightly and sparingly brush it over the vase in a horizontal stroke around the perimeter of the vase so that there is just a hint of the color. Then do the same thing in a lighter grey/beige. Spray some matte clear rustoleum spray paint over it, and while it's still damp, sprinkle little pinches of paprika here and there over the vase, in tiny, tiny amounts. The spray it again withe the clear matte paint to seal it completely. You will be amazed and how much depth and character this will give your vase! And it will look like it cost $100 instead of Walmart prices.
