I made it through the entire video! Today was my first day as a spark driver after being waitlisted forever. I received one order that was reasonable and ALL of the rest were batched orders with 12+ stops, 30+ miles for $30-$35! Needless to say, I was extremely discouraged. Since I am new I am just learning, but I have watched a TON of videos and even I know something is wayyy out of whack! I can’t thank you enough for all of your informative videos!

I Have seen 7.00 shop and Deliver. The pay here in Indiana is not Good. We are dealing with a lot here . Multiple drivers With Several Accounts. My Wal Mart doesn't not ID. So and Metrics doesn't matter here. My Metrics have been in the Green for Over a year. Yet there are certain drivers that Get back to back orders and their metrics suck, but what do I do ? Nothing.

My name is Jennifer and I'm in Ohio. Been working spark since December of 2020 and I'm over 2,000 deliveries. This last year has increasingly been getting worse. After recently talking to an associate of Walmarts they also said that the people that have been there are getting their hours cut and they're hiring people for less pay. That's kind of what I see going on with the driving. I'm saying an average offer is approximately $8 for 8 mi for a two batch. And if last year I was getting an average of a $7 tip now I'm getting about $3 . I'm not sure what's going on but it almost feels like extortion. My daughter and I started about the same time and they deactivated her with no prior warning and the only thing they could tell her was that it looked like she had stolen somebody's order. Now I know that's not true because I know her better than that and nobody will give her any answers. I'd like to know how a customer can say that and not have proof and then somebody just get deactivated. It wasn't too bad when we first started but it is getting really frustrating and sad to know that these big corporations can just take advantage of us.

Hey Justin, so for me here in Massachusetts what I’ve seen is not receiving offers like I used to. Round robins at times in non existent. I use to get them every hour, now I can be waiting 2hrs for an offer. I don’t get the First come first serve orders like I use to, and when I do I have no shot because drivers are ready to accept as soon as they are offered. I called customer support 3 times, of them have told me that is a lack of people shopping. Chicopee MA Walmart is one of the busiest Walmart in the state. I’ve complained, I just don’t know what to do anymore. This is the only side hustle I have now. I been a Spark driver for over a year, perfect rating and 5.0 customer rating,I’m all green. And is like they don’t even care about us drivers.😢

We are here in GA and a few of us drivers compare our orders often. The newest thing is the distance, but with a two order pickup it will have one order going south 3 miles and go back north of the store 7 miles for the second order. The crazy thing is four of us had this happen at a busy time. We talked about why they did not group these orders better. Example is on two separate orders that were on the same street were assigned to two different people, who had to drive north past the store for the second order. It makes absolutely no sense for the driving. And pay $6.50 to $9.80 for a double. If there is no tip it's not worth it.

Spark orders were fine until today was waiting over an hr for 1 order became fed up and cancelled after seeing a driver jump in front of everyone else that had been waiting already. If Spark is slow I hop on Uber and alternate between the 2 of them.

I’m getting terrible offers where there’s many stops and will be less than $1 per mile. Ghost orders. Sporadic offers and payouts are worthless. Getting dinged on my metrics for stores that are too far away. Every time they do an app update it screws everything up. For the record my zone is a busy zone. My zone is the Raleigh NC area and I know it’s a busy zone so I don’t know what gives. This has been going on about 2 months now.

Thanks for your content.. I wanted to share something that might help someone. When you're not getting orders, you can call customer service and ask them to refresh the app. And if they don't know what that means, then ask for tier 2 or hang up and call back and get someone else. And you can ask them to switch your zone like if you live in the northern part of your state. Ask them to switch it somewhere in the Southern part of your state or to another state like it doesn't matter just somewhere far away, and then you let it sit on there for like, a minute and then they switch the zone back. Some of the customer service people are aware of this. Some aren't, but just ask them to do it anyway. Keep them on the phone once they've switched it for like, 2 minutes and then switch it back. For whatever reason, I learned this a few weeks ago. And it does help clearing the cache in your app also helps. If you're just like stuck on getting c*** orders, these are just some tricks of the trade that I've learned and hopefully they will help someone I'm sorry for the punctuation. I am talking to text while I'm driving so hopefully you guys can decipher this it does work though to have them change your zone for a minute or two, and then switch it back takes about an hour sometimes less. And then you'll notice that you start getting more offers. Also, I'm sure most of us know this, but sign in and out a lot and refresh the app that seems to help sometimes too. But then you know we all know there's days. Sometimes weeks where nothing helps because the app sucks.

My local store stopped doing incentives for days ago

In my city there are $11 shop orders, and yes it will be for 5 miles. Round robins are $6 here for curbside. We are over saturated with drivers who take these low paying orders. I'm not trying to make $6-$8 an hour because of all the no tip orders. Especially the ones that are XL going to an apartment. I've had several times when my first round robin offer is a 17 batch going 30 miles for under $30. We used to be able to do more than one order an hour. Now I barely see a decent one every hour.

Walmart does not ever take into account the risk of driving, insurance, wear and tear on the car, no benefits. So even a 20$ order for 6 miles shoukd still be more imo. All of this is extra risk while Walmart takes 0 risks kinda sad

We were just told in a couple of weeks instead of 2 drop batches we will be fetting 3 drop batched orders...see how that goes as in this area VA/WV we are experiencing same issues others have mentioned.

10:36 I heard Uber was doing Walmart orders right after doordash lost its contract. I think it was around the time Walmart took over DDI. I’ve never received offers from Uber even being in the parking lot! Lol

Customers will tip bait you so you deliver the order and then change them after. And i noticed that there's no tips on batch orders so i believe spark keeps those.

I need proof that the stores are choosing drivers I need to see the receipts on this. The robot thing I believe that is true because I have seen in a blink of an eye and order get just taken before you can even touch the screen. I know this to be true because my screen was open already too the app when the order came through, before I could even touch the screen it disappeared. I've even had a manager say that they wanted someone else to get the order, they prevented me more than once from receiving the order by only bringing out half of the order and saying the other half didn't show up. That may have been true, but it did show up minutes later. The manager just wanted to break the order up so that I wouldn't get the high paying order. I would have had to cancel the other order on the batch which would have dropped my metrics. I ended up three times dropping orders because associates would bring the order out an hour later, and she told a customer that she couldn't find 42 of her items, to keep me from getting the order. Then she sent an associate out with half of the order when the order wasn't ready in the app which was a high-paying order to get me to cancel the other order in my batch so that another driver could get it. I ended up canceling 2 hours later, because she lied to her store manager to keep her from having to dispense the order. After she lied to spark and told them that she would dispense the order to me. But instead she came outside and accused me of canceling the order, so that she would not have to give it to me. when she had just spoke to sparked and told them that she would dispense the order to me. I did get paid by spark. but when the order was sent out again. It was snatched within a half a second which was a robot. Somebody was waiting for that high-paying order to drop and they snatched it. This all happened at the Walmart in Alexander City Alabama. Where the manager over order fill by the name of Tammy works
