We make something very similar here called Potica or Nut Roll. My aunt used to add honey to the nut mixture for sweetness & moisture. It was so good. She’s gone now & I never saw her make it or got the recipe…I’ll look on line & find something. Or make a smaller version called Kieflies….that a lot of work you do preparing those…you’re wonderful! ❤
