I love how Miles clutches the camcorder tight as he’s thrown against the wall. It tells you how frightened he truly is. He’s all alone, no one can help him. Throughout his time at the asylum he was in constant danger, the only true companion you have throughout the game is the camcorder, being your light in the darkness. In a time of life or death when hope feels lost, the best thing we can do is cling to the thing or person that has provided the most comfort and salvation. In Miles’ case, his camcorder.

God, from the way Miles reacts, bonding with the Walrider must be _the worst_ pain he ever felt in the whole game. Vomiting aside, he didn't cry as much even when Trager savaged his hands.

I love how after you've seen Chris Walker get absolutely destroyed by the walrider like it was nothing and you're now fully aware of just how powerful this thing is and what it could do to you, the chase music becomes more intense to illustrate that. Amazing game

The trick is to make something as cult as a asylum so legendary. .Especially the music composed in the game reveals emotions very well. Even though the character doesn't speak, the music speaks for them. Red Barrels will never fail on Outlast..

In my opinion, horror game that have night vision camera is much more creepy and unsettling I get why some people would rather use a flashlight to see in a dark but when it comes to outlast, it fits the amostphere

the whole chase is basically the final boss fight of the main Outlast game. similiarly to how the Gluskin chase is the Final boss fight of the DLC. :) of course, being chased by a "ghost" is somehow way scarier than being chased by a crazy lunatic.

Just to explain Miles current status for who don't know. Miles is currently in possession of the Walrider along with Billy Hope due to the Walrider being a hive cloud mind, despite Billy & Miles bodies both being destroyed respectively in the Outlast Comic. Like with any Nano tech they can switch forms to whatever they like despite the Walrider mostly taking a form of a skeleton. It's current form is ants but it can easily assume the form of anyone provided it has interacted with them so we'll have to see for Outlast 3. I hope Outlast Trials pulls some Whistleblower shit and give us a cutscene in the modern day.
