Just picked up the reverb and I was immediately impress by the build quality. The sliders and switch are super nice! Love how you can easily press the stomp switch with a finger. Above all the thing sounds amazing!

overall great video, I just have two final thoughts: I would have loved if he explained the design of each circuit, “oh this drive is based on a screamer, the chorus is a ce-2” etc. etc. And I would have liked him to explain why he went with top input jacks but a side power jack, which seems to negate the space-saving purpose

Interesting point. Like Earthquaker pedals (love top jacks and power) Yeah it does seem to negate the space saving top jacks. Makes me think these mid range priced pedals are becoming a MUST for these pedal companies so much so the entire project (Walrus Fundamentals) may have been outsourced. When that happens, as you probably know, the cost saving efforts just go on and on. The circuit board was probably cheaper to manufacturer with the power on the side. For the life of me I don't get that. But maybe not. Colt is awesome and so are his pedals. I am def getting the Chorus and Reverb. They are just too good....don't care what the market looks like. The pedals sound damn good for the price.

@@plangan These are all made the same way as all of our other pedals. Not outsourced. The power jack is on the side because the pedals are smaller and there isn't room for it. Even if we had knobs instead of sliders there would not have been room for the power input. Grab some angled power cables and its a non issue! 🙂

These are some nice looking pedals! These are the kinds of pedals I like to see companies making. They sound good, they're simple and easy to use, they're inexpensive and their practical; I could actually use these on real gig.

Really smart of Walrus to drop these modern fundamental pedals. A delay with reverse, a chorus that's classic to 80s, a great sounding tremolo. Lots of really smart decisions and the price is really hard to argue with.

Fundamental Drive is excellent and can even be used as a light distortion. Total no brainer. Try it.

These are very nice pedals. The distortion isn’t for me, but I’m very picky when it comes to that effect. I was especially impressed by the tremolo, chorus, and delay. The delay is shockingly feature packed for $129, and the chorus and tremolo were just very solid all around.

I like that these pedals give me a clean, untextured modulation from my favorite company The distortion does kinda feel like a Boss Metal Zone clone, though

The pedal at the end of the chain is acting as an amp emulator. I’m guessing so they can demo the pedals through headphones or speakers wherever Colt takes them? 🤔

I'd be all over these modulation pedals if they had the power jack on the top. They loom great and sound great, but I would very much prefer the power on the top.

Nope. Signal jacks on the side, power jacks on top. Fortunately the range of pedals available allows us to be that picky without compromising tone. (:
