I am waiting on mine in the mail. I have a MXR Tremolo which does harmonic as well but this seemed really innovative. Offers analog harmonic and regular tremolo in many different wave forms. I almost don't think you need tap tempo for a tremolo but I'm stoked for this.

This pedal would be more useful if you introduced a "smooth" control that would let you smooth off the sawtooth and squarewave edges......basically it's like a very low frequency low pass filter......or slew limiter........ In order to have less jagged tremolo without reducing the depth. Also, you need to include both rising and falling sawtooth wave options.
@walrusaudioeffects
@walrusaudioeffects 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! FYI, what you're describing is the sine wave shape. So, that first issue is taken care of. ☺️
@retromograph3893
@retromograph3893 3 жыл бұрын
@@walrusaudioeffects that’s not quite what I mean, perhaps you still want a saw or square, but with slightly rounded edges....but not as rounded as a sine....I believe this can be achieving by adding a slew rate limiter (low pass filter)
@Airhead348

@@retromograph3893 if you had this pedal you wouldn't want to make it more subtle. You can barely hear the harmonic tremolo unless you dime the depth and the it's still pretty weak.
@Airhead348
@Airhead348 3 жыл бұрын
Only on the square wave can you clearly hear the effect. All the other waves are very very subtle anyways so it's plenty smooth for you i think you would like this pedal. As for me I might be selling mine :(
@orange-rv9ek

@@Airhead348 doesn't sound too subtle here maybe there was something wrong with your rig of the pedal you had? That said tremolo sounds better as subtle.

Curious about the "improved tremolo response". I own a V1, and to my ears the harmonic mode cuts the low end significantly. In contrast, my supro harmonic trem cuts the high end significantly. Neither are ideal for my purposes, and it seems a middle ground should be possible. Does this mean the V2 has a more even overall frequency response in harmonic mode? Thanks!

Having just bought this pedal earlier today, and played with it for a few hours earlier: it’s not inherently bright. Or dark. It just modulates whatever your tone happens to be going in.

@@timlukian6051 how is it? I’m typically into subtle brownface /60s style harmonic tremolo but I kind of really like how swishy and water this unit sounds.
@timlukian6051
@timlukian6051 3 жыл бұрын
@@joshua0226 I don't really have any experience with brownface harmonic trem, but I'd say this sounds killer. At first, after plugging it in, it honestly struck me as subtler than I'd anticipated - but after spending more time with it, I think it's actually just very well balanced. With the depth maxed but the rate low (in harmonic mode) it's more subtle, but as you creep the rate up, the modulation becomes quite a bit more swoopy/watery. One thing I realized is that the frequency filtering/modulation does NOT seem to be particularly resonant (ie. never sounds notched/flangey) - so it stays pretty tonally transparent, and feels like it's just attenuating whatever you're feeding it. Consequently the more full-frequency the signal you're sending it, the more apparent the modulation is; for example, if you're feeding it a pretty dark input (eg. highs rolled off going in), it's going to sound more subtle, as there's less high freq. content to attenuate - it's not *adding* anything through filter resonance or other distortion. So far I think it's pretty splendid, honestly. It just displaced both an Earthquaker Hummingbird and a cheapo Andoer green trem on my board, as it can cover both that choppy trem ground, and the conventional trem ground and a whoooole lot more with the harmonic side and the different LFO shapes, and the tap-tempo features, and so on. Oh, and it sounds *really* bitchin' with fuzz on the input signal, and stacked with a Phase 45 set to approximately the same rate :)
