Walrus Audio Qi Etherealizer Demo, Yvette Young Signature Pedal

Today we listen to the Walrus Audio QI Etherealizer Guitar pedal. This multi FX unit has a ton of ambient and inspirational power. I got a little lost in this pedal at the booth, both because the Qi was a ton of fun and the Etherealizer effects added to my playing functionally. Enjoy the Qi Demo.

Pity about the audio clipping

The audio isn't clipping in my recording. You can see proof of that in the linked screenshot here: drive.google.com/file/d/14JM2R62UUBZZQpN8AlgiRClDLCF3yKgB/view?usp=drive_link My assumption is that is an intentional sound of the "grain" portion of the pedal, or a result of the reps running this into the font end of the cabinet simulator instead of an fx loop. As you saw from the screenshot, I didn't clip in the recording or in my editor. That is from the grain functionality I guess? It's weird I know, but all of those scraping and crunchy sounds and even the clipping is intentional. It seems artists like mkgee, have made the sound of clipping popular for some reason. I don't personally enjoy it, but the kids certainly do.

Yes neither do I but that's because we are old men. Let the kids have their terrible tones. I bet the parents of the generation for those who like to rock and roll said that the sound of the crunchy guitar was objectively terrible. That's what you and I are saying about the clipping but we just don't like it or understand it. For some reason the kids like really annoying sounds, I'm sure the best of these annoying sounds will come to fruition in time but for now it's just all annoying to us old men. Let's let the kids have their fun.
