OMG I am SO excited to bring you these! Literally just hand delivered by David who has skills passed down through several generations working in the Walsall "leather" industry.
The straps have real soul. They "mean" something. Totally hand made (watch the video I did on it) and the results are just out of this world.
I could not be prouder to be working with David as these make the ultimate companion to the guitars I love.

Leather, as an integral part of the meat industry, is now becoming viewed as causing massive environmental damage to our planet's ecosystems. There is an increasing amount of scientific evidence to support this.

Its a bi product of the industry and therefore no doubt is part of the meat industry makes money. Maybe that's what you mean? If you could find me links to environmentally friendly materials that have the lifetime appeal of leather then please let me know.

You may be interested in this article: (www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsandnature/leather-is-more-than-a-by-product-of-the-meat-industry/) I suppose I could search the web for links to "environmentally friendly materials that have the lifetime appeal of leather", but really as the retailer who is promoting the purchase of leather in your shop, perhaps that is your responsibility? I guess it depends on your perspective on your personal role in protecting the environment. Also, the term "lifetime appeal" is very subjective - leather has no appeal to me and to perhaps many others. Moreover, fashions and values change over time and I suspect that like fur, leather's current appeal may well change in the coming decades. Here is an opportunity for Richard's Guitars to be ahead of the curve! (I offer my comments in a supportive spirit as I am an admirer of your stance and perspective on the guitar retail industry and would happily pop down to Stratford and buy one of the fab Gordon Smith Telecasters if I had the money 😊).
