Thurl Ravenscroft was awesome his voice was so deep and distinctive that anybody could recognize him. He was the voice of Captain the horse in "101 Dalmatians", black Bart in "the sword in the stone",and the Russian Cat in "the aristocats"
@xspector813 жыл бұрын
Paul Bunyan's voice is, of course, the legendary Thurl (Tony the Tiger) Ravenscroft who for some reason is not credited. They only mention "the Mellowmen" as they were the group he sang with. I think that, since he did the voice of Bunyan he should have been named in the credits.

My father told us about this amazing tale, and grew up in his tale, fiction I know, but every time I see a photograph of Babe the Blue Ox or Paul Bunyan I think of him, dad. RIP July 22nd 2010.

I'm reading a lot of comments from people very disturbed by the legend of Paul Bunyan. Just relax. It is a legend. Even in Paul's day, it was a legend. The continent was never conquered with Paul Bunyan, and when the first European set foot on American soil the Great Plains already existed. The forests were thicker in different places than they are now, but the US has actually been determined to have more trees per square inch than it has had in hundreds of years (that would be since before the time depicted in this cartoon). Trees grow back, you see. It's a fantasy. Just sit back and enjoy the show.

They say he's "sixty three axe handles high." According to Wikipedia the average length of an axe handle is 18 inches, so it makes him some 94.5 feet tall.
@JSRbowling5955 жыл бұрын
Gotta be taller. 18 inches is only a foot and a half tall. I get that the average man was shorter back then, but that still doesn't seem right.
