Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort tour and review

We recently visited Orlando and stayed in the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort. We had stayed in its sister resort, the Swan, before. So it was cool to check out the Dolphin. We do a room tour, discuss dining options and recreational opportunities. A new resort now joins the Swan and Dolphin called The Swan Reserve. So we even walked over there to see what the new hotel was like. Join us as we tour the property and share our review!

Great accommodation, looks very clean and smartly appointed. Nice pool! Great amenities Jack and Alice. Great choice of foods. Your meals looked great. The Dolphin Reserve is the far more impressive. Fantastic video! Loved the hotel and pool area. The waterfall was a nice touch, though I'd be terrified to go on any lagoon in FL. Very nice game room. Nice dining options too. Shula's looked amazing!

Hey guys! What a nice place to stay-especially for work. The pool area is so pretty. Love that waterfall! Great choice on the swan boat ride. Wow those are a bit high for food, but it looked amazing! That is one pricey potatoe. Lol! Beautiful place! Such a nice tour!!

I love this place as it is so close to Epcot and Hollywood. I used to do so many conventions here and when I was done, I ran to the parks. HAHAHA. Thanks for showing it. Looks like this room is updated compared to the room we were in over 6 years ago. LIKE 28. 👍👍👍👍

Yes! We are amazed at the design that goes into these resorts. We stay at cheap hotels that are just normal everyday brick buildings often too. But these highly themed, well designed resorts are awesome to see. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I've always wanted to stay at one of these hotels. They are in such a great location. Greg stayed at the Dolphin before but I haven't. They look really lovely. Lovely room tour! I had no idea they had so many restaurants/food options. Nice that they are moderate resort prices for deluxe level accommodations. I think these are a great cheaper option that the Beach and Yacht club. Awesome review! :) Thanks for sharing! Sorry we are so behind, hope you are both doing well!

You are so lucky to work while being in Orlando. The hotel looks really nice. Always enjoy your room tour, we are new to that content. Wow you guys had a great view. Rosalie would love to the pool and beach area. Oh man I love Shula’s. This is what I call divide and conquer with content. We've stayed in so many of the Disney resorts but I've never stayed at the Swan or Dolphin because I couldn't use my band for paying, etc. It's not convenient other than location if i have to carry a purseto the parks. We've walked by it many times but never went in to explore. The lobby and room are decent. The furnishings seems oddly dated. The pool and beach are beautiful. I'm surprised the exterior looks so 70s dated to me. The food looks great and priced as expected for a deluxe resort. We stayed in one of the deluxe resorts nearby and at that time they shared buses to the parks so time to get to the parks was really, really long.

Hi. Enjoyed your video of these fine hotels. Our favorite has always been the Dolphin, at which we've stayed 13 times since June, 2007. We started going there as a part of my company's attendance at what was an annual IBM software conference at the Dolphin. Over time, we started staying over to go into Epcot and Magic Kingdom. Later, we started staying there in in what used to be our annual visits to WDW. We always considered it our "Disney Home". Basically, a deluxe hotel in a great location for moderate (or sometimes less) pricing. I am retired but traveled a good bit while working, and always stayed at Marriott properties. That allowed me to get lifetime Titanium status, which meant we normally got a nice upgrade at the Dolphin. Twice we were given one of the Presidental suites, but my favorites were the rooms with balconies facing Crescent Lake and Epcot ( wing of rooms closest to that area). We once ate at Shula's (on my retirement celebration trip to WDW). Our normal favorite was the Fountain. Loved their service, large portions, and "simple" and more reasonably priced food. I loved walking to Epcot via the Boardwalk. Thanks for this enjoyable video... God Bless

The Dolphin is such a great resort. We loved our stay there. You have been there so many times. That is really cool. I would love to see what those Presidential Suites are like some day. We ate at the Fountain on a previous trip and you are right - reasonable prices and good food. We do love how close it is to Epcot - and to the Boardwalk Resort where there are some other good restaurants. Orlando is a lovely city. There is so much to see and do in the area in addition to Disney. This hotel is a very nice compromise for people who don’t want to be surrounded by Disney characters. A very nice Marriott resort with close proximity to the theme parks. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

I definitely need to give the Dolphin or the Swan a try. I always hesitate because they are still pretty expensive and I always end up deciding that I'd rather just stay in an official Disney hotel. The Swan Reserve is really expensive!

They are both very nice resorts. Contemporary is within walking distance of Magic Kingdom. Dolphin is within walking distance. So if you want to stay close to one of the parks more than the other, that may matter. Though they do both have Disney transportation available to get you to the other parks. The big difference to me is the price. Rooms at the Contemporary are often about twice the cost of rooms at the Dolphin. Both are great resorts.
