Sylvonte Wright I understand that they were here friends but at the end of the day mice are vermin and the perfect prey for a household cat. Lucifer works for her because she raised him. Hypothetically speaking cinderella could’ve raised him and he probably would turned out slightly less evil lol

Nya, as a cat myself I can tell you that Lucifer is bad. Maybe his job is to catch mice but not make the dog, horse and Cinderella feel miserable and yet it does. He clearly enjoys the misfortune of others. Surely it is because the stepmother was the one who raised him, you know, pets look like their owners, but that doesn't change the fact that Lucifer enjoys doing evil.

I always thought that, too. Lucifer simply got caught in the sleeve of a nightgown, which restricted his movements, allowing Jaq and Gus enough time to escape, but in terms of story, I really do think that scene was deliberately intended to be a humiliating moment for Lucifer. A certain degree of dramatic irony is done here, as well: the viewer can clearly see the frilly sleeve long before he gets caught in it, but Lucifer, like most all villains, is too blinded in his own persistence of catching Jaq to see that chasing a mouse inside a nightgown was foolish and that it would completely backfire on him - it gave the mouse a decided advantage just for being smaller. 2:24 - 2:28 Technically, Lucifer was free of that clothing for the moment while searching for Jaq. Had he been more aware of his immediate surroundings and less obsessed with getting Jaq, Lucifer possibly could have noticed the frilly sleeve ahead of time and avoided it. When he couldn't find Jaq, the cat should have just given up and stepped out while he had the chance and gotten away from that nightgown altogether. In other words, the basic "moral lesson" shown in this scene is that the villain had the opportunity to avoid his humiliation, but ultimately didn't take it. The moment Lucifer saw Jaq again, Lucifer recklessly resumed his mad pursuit, going back inside that nightgown.... which lead to Lucifer finally getting stuck in the sleeve and looking like a baby.

It's funny because in the subtitles for the film and in most appearances (books, quotes, etc..) they called it as "Look-a" and "Lucifie" but in actuality when I watched the film all I hear is an "R" vowl whenever they say Lucifer as Roosafie.
