I have had this question lately, What can't people of color do, where can't they go, what can't they participate in in today's America? Whites are limited/restricted (persona non grata) from some places (ex:The All Black Caucus), some benefits (ex:Affirmative Action), and some memberships (ex:NAACP) in this day and age. But, I can't find anywhere that people of color are restricted as a policy. Next point: Didn't the 10's of thousands of non-slave owning whites that died and paid much to free the slaves pay the debt due to the slaves -- they bought them their freedom with shed blood, right?

mikeorclem Isn't their light on and green for that matter? They don't have to turn anything on -- it's been on for them for 45 years already. No red lights or yellow lights in their path, as far as I can tell.

bully pulpit what I meant was people hold their selves back..when convinced someone else is holding them back they believe it and results as they are..

Every politician pushing to introduce a spending bill should, by new law, begin with this: First we are going to take your money and, after paying our costs, we will spend what remains for my bill.

We should begin with a clear sense of the origin of morality. The welfare of human beings is above all else the supreme value, as is correctly stated here, but the reason given here is incorrect. Human beings are supremely valuable above all else not because each person is his or her own property, as nothing follows from this premise. Instead, human beings are supremely valuable because God created them, and God alone is the source of all morality. In fact, without God, there would be no absolute, object moral truths.
@KSReferee7 жыл бұрын
Morality is all well and good only as long as the only person we are imposing that morality upon is ourselves. Please be 100% assured that you would not like it if I obligated you or anyone else in society, much less everyone in society to obey MY morality and dictates based upon my morality. Even within Christianity there are numerous beliefs and morality that are contradictory, much less allowing for all the other religions out there, so how about we impose the morality upon ourselves and recognize the easiest to agree upon morality which is, "I own my body."

Good joke... did you check your hypothesis with data... maybe you are not capable of testing in the first place... thereby resorting to 'God'... what a shame
@SpeakerBuilder3 жыл бұрын
@@nv3796 You actually have to start by thinking for yourself rather than listen to atheists who have an agenda, and that is to do whatever they want to do even though at times it does not work out best for them and in some cases even causes them pain and misery in the long run. But that is a whole other book. But if you want data, test the hypothesis of the origin of life occurring by chance alone versus by some outside organized plan. And if you want a simple starting point on this journey, look around at nature and see if you can find just one example of non living matter being organized by natural forces into a functional whole that serves some purpose, however small. Of course, nature offers no such examples.
