How do concealed weapons bring confidence for anyone except the carrier? You know things are bad if you need to carry a gun.

The whole point of carrying a gun is for personal protection. It's not there to save the day from a terrorist attack or North Korean invasion. It's not there to make anyone else feel safe because it's concealed and nobody but you knows you have it. It's there for armed robberies, carjackings, kidnappings, stopping assaults with deadly weapon, etc, and attacks from wild animals.
