Hi Chris, thankyou for time, in making your film. Personally, I love the look of the R10. In my humble opinion, BSA are where they should be with this rifle. I'm a great believer in, you get what you pay for. I've heard issues with leaks, with yhe R10's, but this may be an issue in transportation from factory, to individual outlets. They're not allowed to be transported with air inside. So with no pressure inside, the seals may move. When charged up again at the shop/store, obviously, the seals may have moved and won't seal. The Air pressure would have kept the seals in place. If the gunsmith doesn't check them over, there will be air pressure issues. From what I can see from the reviews, the new R12, released on 1st Sept, this year, the action is a one piece block, so hopefully less seals will be required, and less chance of problems. The R10 and R12 both look fabulous kit and when you think, what BSA have done for us, they are where they ought to be in air rifle manufacture. The two BSA's are fabulous air rifles. Thankyou Chris and BSA.

Just some thoughts, having watched a few back to back tests now as I'm in the market for a PCP. Even though you have the rifles in a gunvice, your table is wobbling all over when you reload, and I can see it move when you fire. The trendy stick on targets look great but the traditional 25 metre type of target make it much easier to measure a group size. Watching holes appear in a piece of paper in real time gets tedious - how about speeding the video up (like Bloke on the Range does) till we have a group shot? Interestingly I owned one of the first RM8s, and used JSB Exacts - but it was the pellet head size that could make a very noticeable difference to accuracy and grouping, as I tried three different sizes to get the best match to the barrel; could you perhaps mention pellet head size where it is known? I hope that can be taken as constructive, not a moan or a troll. Having watched your vid, I'd be happy to spend my £ on the RM8 though! Take care.

My BSA R10SE ( FAC) shoots everything excellent above 10gr. It has a longer barrel, 19 inches. I get 50 shots, or 30 for the tightest extreme spread. 10.65gr running around 885fps average. SD 3 to 5. Its deadly accurate and totally reliable. Hi from the USA.....🎯

I know it’s not practical- but a wider choice of pellets is needed for a gun v gun comparison and there are so many other factors like were the pellets all weighed and shot by weight grouping? Ergonomics- of the individual Rifle-not just shooting from a rest (which looks extremely wobbly!) are important comparisons, a single shot tray would also be fairer as some mag systems mangle pellets more than others . A fairer tardy would be a Weirauch KT100 against the BSA

pellet diameter is very important , i can fire air arms 5.52 through s410 and titan manitau with good results the titan also likes h&n ftt 5.53 but the s410 does not like those at all and both a walther barrels wether they are the same rifling i don't know? i would imagine that lead hardness is a factor too depending on how many rifling groves they are and how deep ?

Usually light pellets for springer's and heavier for PCP with exceptions of coarse! If you suddenly get a shotgun patern always check the suppressor is tight and the internals are tight as most are can be stripped so check both end caps and remove the silencer and check with a torch for lead marks on the inside edge of the exit end, You did not mention head sizes, unfortunately for our wallets this is a pain but so worth it buy a couple of mixed test sets, Generally Weihrauch 4.51 or 5.51 in .22. Air Arms 4,.2 or 5.52 in ,22. FX toss a coin! BSA variable from model to model and I will stop there as your probably bored by now, call me a know it all but I am 60 and been shooting for at least 50 years including firearms the silencer problem happened to my Father in laws .22 rim fire and he was pulling his hair out, when I wandered in and showed him the lead marks he was delighted it was fixed but I think he hates me! @@southwestshooters I enjoy the vids! Looks like you and the prof have a good deal of fun. I’m in the process of try to tempt another young dad in my village towards buying an air rifle - I’d love a shooting buddy. Hunting on your own is great but a plinking buddy would be just as welcomed. 👍

Bad result from a £ 1100 rifle! A £450 GAMO Coyote does better!
