O my, your tourguide didn't take you to many places. We have dune tours that are amazing and much, much more. We have a very rich history but I could hear your tourguide wasn't too informative. I'm glad the weather was fine, and thank you for visiting our beloved Walvis Bay.

The length of stay is absolutely about the cost of docking. When the beer is $2 that says it all.Still, a great adventure and sights you might never see again. That's the thing about cruising...hit and miss, but always educational.

Next time you can take a longer tour to even visit Swakopmund. The town is just 30 minutes away and just shows that Namibia was a German colony. We are still very much influenced by German things, thus the German beers and glasses. Love to see my land in videos.

You can't win them all! I'd have been interested to look at diamonds though...I don't think the overcast skies helped but it looked rather dull and clearly not much to do - but you always make the most of everything and at least saw the 'must do's! - the flamingo nursery was an interesting development - leaving all the youngsters together in a safe place. But at least the beer was good, cold and cheap and Zarko looked happy with that :) See you on the next stop!

It is always disappointing to miss a port (We missed Moorea of all places 😢). I understand the frustration of having such a short time in some popular ports and then a long time at a port where there isn't much to explore or see. Fingers crossed for the rest of your ports!!

Could have gone up the coast 20 minutes to the lovely town of Swakopmund.

We did consider Swakopmund, after paying $100 for a half hour tour the driver wanted $200 to take us there so we had a beer with a view. We live in Europe and the real Germany is next door.

Zark....You can tell there is a big German influence there as a beer is served in a "BIG" stein like in Germany where a beer is a beer....

Always disappointing to miss a port but that's life. Always wondered what Walvis Bay was like. Flamingos were good to see. It looked a reasonably prosperous place ? What were your thoughts? Zarko and his beer are a highlight !

Disappointing to miss a port . And although you got to spend time here, it wasnt ideal. I agree with Zarko re docking costs. 12 hours is simply too long for this port so at least you saw flamingos and had cheap beer. I wonder what the other passengers thought of this port. Hopefully the next one will be a little more exciting. ❤ your favourite Aussie follower.

disappointing missing ports you should be able to get refund money from ship for not going to ports I loved seeing pink flamingos yes that probably was a diamond as you can just find them and they don't look anything until faceted and polished and glad the beer was at a cheap price and tasted ok
