Wow man, your bass chops are legit. Anyone for more Andybass demos? Andy rules!
@rodrigozamo Жыл бұрын
The Ego was already the best compressor on the market, so taking that base and adding these features and stamping Cory's name in it, just made this one the definite king. I don't want it, I NEED it.

Andy is the GOAT! That’s a tasty sounding compressor.

Great demo yet again, Andy. Hope you are doing well.... Even tho I'm not in the market for a comp pedal, I still watched to the end..... I find your videos do usually run through a whole lot of styles and applications and it helps to understand how each pedal works that you demo. BTW, I'll bite .... where can we get THAT T-shirt!
@AndyDemos Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Nice to know the vids are helpful. The shirt is available on my the Store tab (TeeSpring) on this channel!

I went to the G4 Experience in January hosted by Joe Satriani. Cory was one of the instructors and he alluded to this pedal. Looking forward to getting it at some point.

Great video! Very informative! My question is with the Direct Out, can I send that into a Tube DI box and then the console Mic in, or do I need to send that into the console mic in only? Am I stuck with that option? Thanks!

With the Cory Wong Signature Setting a get a popping noise on every attack! OK, there is maybe the Blend Knob to avoid this, but than the compressor effect is not hearable anymore.
@AndyDemos Жыл бұрын
I would adjust the Attack until it’s less “poppy”. Those settings are just suggestions and will vary with every player and their guitar’s output. Good luck!

Nice compressor. On a side note, next time you do an overdrive or any dirt pedal, it would be cool if you would use the PGS opening tune for the demo intro song.. extended of course. Take care.
@AndyDemos Жыл бұрын
Good idea! The original was only 10 second long haha!

Andy for the home recording peeps amongst us, would you record using this type of compressor or would you apply compression afterwards during the mix? Nice review btw
@AndyDemos Жыл бұрын
I think this pedal really wants to interact with a guitar signal, it’s really about feel and attack 👍🏻

Thinking of compressors and stuff, did you not demo the Barber Tone Press and other Barber pedals back in the day? I could have sworn you demoed all the big box versions.

They’re live again ✌️

@@AndyDemos Not to be all weird, but I really appreciate you Andy. I grew up playing drums, and it seemed like there wasn't much in the way of drum content back then. I was for sure trolling the forums, but except for maybe Drummerworld, there weren't many videos. I've always been into gear, even convincing my guitar buddies to leave their stuff at my house so I could play with it. :) You, Burgs, Gearmanndude, et al were a big part of my early internet days. I remember making my mental list of pedals and guitars I liked, trying to remember which of the MJM fuzzes was the best one. Everything was in Comic Sans, it was Les Lius not Les Luis, that Hardwire Valve Distortion sounded awesome, the Fender Tele with the hidden neck and middle pickups - what!? And how much is that Rockbox Boiling Point?! Remember when you demoed the Boss BD-2 and people were all aghast. LOL That's where I first heard 44 Blues. These demos were the first time I heard a lot of things. Anyway, I've enjoyed going back and watching all those videos with a new perspective - now that I know more about what that stuff is (thanks TPS) and just being older I guess. I'm really happy that this is still a thing and you're still at it.I feel the same way about a new Andy video as I did back then.💙
