X5 Pro and many good LED or LASER Projectors have very good contrast

hi there! I m using the X5, with a 135" (3m wide) screen and I understand that it is over its limits (~4.6m distance) because the edges get significantly blurred and there is less contrast too. Is X5 pro better at the edges? I am between davinci, mozart and x5 pro at the moment but I cannot find a comparison for the edge focus at that distance/screen size. Thanks!

tough question long answer - Are you using with angle and using keystone correction - More correction you have softer corners you get Because you are not projecting perfectly for your optics. - if you project perfectly straight angle than you have to think about price range under 500$ projectors might have some softer corners specially for bigger sizes .for perfect edges I sugggest devices above 500$ or second hand Bulb expensive models. For me X5 Pro was sharp enough this also depends on how close you are . for 135" I recommend sitting around 4.5-5meter space if you get closer you will see every detail and you might want 4K or expensive projector. Contrast loss is about you are loosing light further you go for expansion so if you plan to go bigger you need to compansate either from price or your expectations for reality of pricing kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaXdl4OGfJiaq7Msi=YjFHzceTz-oFI0KH this video shows a 720P Projector with 3600lümens and price of 590$ ( Brand new ) 290$ ( second hand ) so you have to make your choice

It is my first projector but I ve made my research as well, so I understand 100% how focus works and how I can achieve best image with budget projectors. Yes, I realized that I had to project with as little correction as possible. I have the 3m screen and the projector is at the other side of the room, at 4.6m, centered at width and height with the screen and I correct the size slighlty to fit in the 3m (135") screen. Even though the distance is a little too much for this model, the image is acceptable for movies. I am just wondering if the X5 pro is a little better concerning the corner sharpness. I got X5 for 200€ and I can get X5 pro for ~250€.

İt has to be in middle of the image because of throwing angle but you can put it top of the campler and keystone correction it wont be good as 100 ofset throw projectors but for its price it will give you everything you might need

I want to buy a projector for my balcony which is almost dark and I want to mount it on the ceiling. The projection size will be 100 inches My budget is up to 400 dollars. I don’t care for the sound performance since I will connect my soundbar. I don’t care abou the operating system since I will connect my apple tv streamer. S5 it is a little more expensive, not much. Compared to the Mozart 1, S5 has better colors and you can see comfortably even in a bright environment. I would like a little better contrast. @@AlperErol I am using indoors and as a muslim lives in Türkiye our homes are clean %90 so regular dust might not effect with filters but if you put it on ceiling mount or bookshelf and leave it to dust than it could get little dust in. Atleast my copy of X5 was able to create hudge images and X5 pro declares 140" even in description X5 could have dust issues because its not protected that is one of the big upgrades and build quality of X5Pro is better every day. I suggest read forums for long time use and issues because I test for 2 weeks with couple of movies and tv shows and my review process but people use all day long. İf the 10" is not a hudge issue I would buy X5 Pro because of upgrades on overall build quality on long term use. Let people know your final decision

I use test projectors about a week and couple of hours every day. So if you plan to use it 4 hours a day I dont think this device will have a problem because it feels like a tank solid build. But like any projector in a sunny day without clima cooled room if you use it under 35 Celcious Degree room 5 hours open like a TV I dont know. I think nobody can tell this sort of thing for any brand. so if you use this device in right conditions it will last long build quality is way better than X5 standard if that is what you are asking.

I havent tested Ultimea P60 From the specs 30W Speaker is Plus 2 HDMI is another plus but it seems 1GB Ram 32Gb Rom and I think it's smart is FullHD Playback X5 Pro has 4K KZbin support and quite good android experience so it will be up to your priorities . I also don't know the latency of Apollo P60 if you will connect PS5 or XBOX Series X than you might not care about casting and Smart functions it is up to you I would have look same direction myself if prices are close and I dont use built in android like I showed in this video

I won’t (99% sure) be using HDMI ports, I don’t need a stick because of the built-in Android, and I won’t be playing any games. I spent all day watching reviews, and yours is truly the best. One thing I’m really concerned about is the throw ratio and projection size. Your screen size measurements differ from what Wanbo states in the manual-for example, 100" at 3.3 meters compared to your 100" at 2.8 meters. I’m crossing my fingers that your measurements are correct and accurate. If that’s the case, I think I’m totally sold!

Choice is latency and android performance .

Just for watching content I think Android performance is more important so my vote goes to X5 Pro because of 4K playback fast speed

Lastly, one final question: when I turn on the projector, whether it's from a reboot, a restart, or the initial power-up, the remote control buttons don't work except for two. When I press the power button or the settings button, I can then use the arrow keys and the center button for navigation. If I don't press one of those two, the other buttons don’t work. And I try to get the picture as big as possible on the wall. I am not very satisfied with the details getting lost in darker areas. So I have to raise the brightness with the JQ818c a lot and due to that the picture becomes washed out a bit. And I love to have a punchy picture but hate to lose details in dark spots.So I was looking for the X5 or the X5 pro. Hat den besseren Streaming-Dongle nicht. Also Fernbedienung ohne Netflix usw. Kostet aber weniger. Kundenservice bei Wanbo ist mir ein Rätsel😁

Note for such a long in depth review this is NOT a native 4k projector folks. Its just 1080p, dont let the other 4k lingo fool you. You need to spend at least $700 for a 4k projector which uses pixel shifting.

​@@homecinematech Thanks for your answer! I already own a regular Mozart 1. However, it doesn't has the needed license and Widevine L1 to play full HD on Netflix and other platforms. So I'd like to replace Mozart 1. There is a Mozart 1 PRO with a closed optical system and slightly better sound. But X5 PRO is brighter and it offers quieter cooling. Also it weighs less with the internal power supply unit. So "on paper" x5 pro looks more suitable for me.

@@maksymlisnevskyi9733 Mozart 1 has more dynamic range and that is a choice maker. I would not upgrade Mozart 1 get myself a Realme 4K dongle or Google 4K Chrome Cast licenced dongle or you can connect your smart phone with Type C to HDMI cable you dont have to upgrade for licence 👍😊

@@k.k7419 yes internal android dongle (or google tv) can play 4K youtube but projector is Fullhd resolution so you play 4K inside of FullHD resolution picture quality of videos are better sharper because of this
