I got the impression from this that the MCU Quicksilver couldn't be brought back because he actually died (and Wanda is averse to resurrecting the dead) but her desire for her brother's return was so strong that maybe she plucked a still-living version from another reality.

I think her sons did it. They asked her if she had a brother and she said he was far away. So to make their mother feel better, they grabbed another Pietro from another reality, without knowing that it's not the right one.

There were rumours that Spider-man 3 and Doctor Strange where going to be Multiverse movies where you will see different actors who played spider-man appearing in the same movie as well as alternative versions of the avengers that would be caused by Wanda at the end of the series. But nobody thought it could mean she would bring the X-men into the MCU. This would be the reverse of the comic this series is based on because in that she sends all mutants, but maybe the MCU version she creates mutants by bringing them in from the x-men universe

They didn't bring her brother back because he died. The point they were making with the dog is that she can't bring back the dead. I know you're saying "but what about Vision?", but he isn't a living thing, he's a machine and he's still dead anyway, he's just reanimated. So basically, if Vision lives on past this show, he won't be the same Vision he was in the movies, he's basically a rebooted machine that has no memory of his past. She might even be able to create a new Pietro, but he would just be a new person with the old one's face.

Just like we talked about in the discussion when it comes to Vision 🙂 And us wondering whether or not they would bring back the MCU version of Pietro, is solely based on Wanda's ability to make illusions, like they talked about in the episode. It's not because we actually think she can bring him back from the dead. I suspect that Monica might have gotten her powers by passing through Wanda's world. Yes, Wanda might have shielded her on her way out, but passing into a new reality might have changed her, and would explain why the doctors were having trouble with her scans. We might see her as Photon before the series ends. PS: It is nice to see "the twins" wearing their comic's colors. Wiccan is in red and blue, and Speed is in green and silver.

I was thinking they would introduce mutation that way. A percentage of people from the blip come back with mutations but maybe it will be all via Wanda, like a reverse "House of M". I was also fond of the mutation forced by Kree experimentation from Agents of Shield, really they have all kinds of avenues to introduce the XMen roster whenever they feel like. The next Deadpool is going to be hilarious.

Agnes also knows it is a show and is ok with it. Everyone else is in deep pain. My theory, Agnes wants to weaken the barrier between worlds, so they need her to pull people from other worlds. They tried to get wanda to bring forward vision but she got his body. SO they put pressure to make her want kids, then the kids reminded her of her brother and that she can't bring people back from the dead to get her subconscious to bring in other world quicksilver.

Green screen has improved by leaps and bounds from when I worked with it back in the 80’s. Back then it was called ultimat and hair was an absolute nightmare with it. If it were still analog as it was when I worked with it, I would have said It might have to do with the sharp contrast between the matting around your hair and the dark background. But back then we avoided lines like those in the background because they would buzz like mad on a sd television. You also couldn’t put red next to yellow for the same reason. Digital changed everything for the better. So all that’s to say what’s bugging you is very minor compared to what we had to just accept back then. In my day computers didn’t have a mouse and we only had 4K memory and we were GLAD for it young man!

I love Evan Peters and his version of Quicksilver but part of me still feels bad it wasn’t Aaron Taylor Johnson. I absolutely believe that this is to show the existence of the Multiverse. I just want Aaron to be thrown a bone. He was just overshadowed by Evan’s amazing portrayal, and in Age of Ultron Joss Whedon focused more on Scarlet Witch. Also even though Wanda is very much in control of most of the Hex I can’t help but feel like there is a 3rd party involved, Agnes/Agatha is a possibility but I think it’s someone or something even more powerful than Wanda. Like a Black Hole, invisible but powerful.

The theme is that Wanda can't raise the dead, and Aaron Taylor Johnson played the Pietro that was killed by Ultron. Since he was a human who died, Wanda won't bring that Pietro back, so she had to find another Pietro/Peter that didn't die in another universe.

During Disney Investor Day they announced that Wandavision was going to be the start of the multiverse trilogy, which will continue in Spiderman 3 and end in Doctor Strange 2. That would explain why Evan Peters appears as Quicksilver

I been watching so many reactions. I just recently watched the entire season and didn't know of any spoilers. To me this was bigger than the Luke Skywalker reveal and this is coming from a fan who likes star wars more than marvel comics.

Please note she told her kids that her brother is very far away and sometimes that makes her sad. Then he is brought across universes to be reunited with her. The anomaly and whoever made it will NOT let her be anything less than happy.

Sonny you made a great point that I I a lot of the other reviewers haven't. The fact that she could have defeated Thanos by herself and now you attack and provoke her. These people are not the brightest bulbs in the room. I think Wanda is controlling 10% of this but I think someone is controlling 90%, but who, we will have to wait.

Hi Guys, amazing reaction as always :) OK - some thoughts - We saw the confirmation of a new heroine today Monica Rambeau - the tests they were doing in her first scene were coming up like over exposed light. Monica / Spectrum / Photon is a being made of pure energy. The combination of Wanda's hex blast and the energy of the field have changed her significantly. The change from world to weapon in the SWORD anacronym is important. If you look at the SWORD footage of Wanda entering the headquarters, they were experimenting on Vision despite his living will - So SWORD may of initiated this whole situation. Listen carefully to Agnes comment to Wanda in the re-take scene its less its more an order - "You want me to hold the babies" Agnes spayed the twins with something before there first growth spurt. Agnes was also there for the next growth spurt and almost manipulated a third growth spurt with the discovery of Sparky the dog in her bushes. Wanda told the twins about an uncle who lived far away and that made her sad ......... Wanda's powers have no effect on the twins Quicksilver from the X-men movies appeared in a movie that was set solely in the 80's, which fits the episode and needs no changes (The later X-men movies from first Class onwards happened in different decades with each subsequent movie) Evan Peters Quicksilver character turned up just as Wanda was beginning to breakdown - Do we really believe this is Quicksilver from a different reality or is he someone else entirely?

It has been stated in the show that you can't bring back the dead. Vision isn't human and got his powers and life from the mindstone, so that's a different issue. But Pietro's corpse has probably decayed at this point. Also the recast shows how flawed and wrong her little world is. She isn't even believing herself that the man before her is her brother, but in order to keep up the facade, she goes along. It's so fitting.
