I think the dad did leave their mother for that woman. And that's why Yei basically took over raising Yak. And clearly the dad didn't come back to take care of his sons after their mother died. So Yei is resentful. Plus I'm thinking part of Yak's problems stem from the abandonment of his father thus the hooded figure he sees in the ring. I also think part of his problem may come from maybe going to live with his father and stepmother at some point and during that time his mother got sick and died. So maybe he's feeling like just like his no good father he abandoned her and never got to make it up to her.

I like the chemistry between the two leads. But, I think the script is all over the place. I, too, was looking forward to Dee and Yak being alone together, getting closer and putting Dr. Ter to rest. BTW, was it necessary for Ter to become a stalker, near molester? We get it, he's not a decent person and be treats everybody like crap. Dr. Kwan dodged a bullet!!! Good for her. Lastly, Dee is so busy trying to get Khao to treat Yak, why is Dee doing the same for himself. He' a grown man who can't cross the street, because his parents died in a car accident. When will this be addressed episode 11?
