Explanations : - Committee of Good Offices for Indonesia : 1) Belgium, was chosen by Netherlands; 2) Australia, was chosen by Indonesia; 3) USA, was chosen by both Netherlands and Indonesia as the moderator - Committee of Good Offices for Indonesia brought together Indonesia and Netherlands in USS Renville (USA warship) to make an agreement. That's why the agreement named "Renville Agreement" - In Renville Agreement, Indonesia are was just ⅓ Java Island (Linggarjati Agreement result minus all the area that was attacked in Operatie Product). This makes Prime Minister Amir Sjarifuddin stepped down the minister chair - 1948 PKI Rebellion was led by Muso, that was just came back from Soviet Union since 1926. They used the condition to forced the government to accept their requests. At the end, Muso got shot and died, when Amir Sjarifuddin (ex minister) and the other leaders were caught and sentenced to death. Because of this rebellion, the defense was weaken. - The weak defense because of PKI rebellion was used by Netherlands to attack again (2nd military aggression). Yogyakarta as the capital was attacked, the leaders were caught and exiled to Bangka Island. But the government was still exist. Before got caught, Ir Soekarno told Mr. Safrudin to make Emergency Government of Republic Indonesia (= Pemerintahan Darurat Republik Indonesia) in Bukittinggi, West Sumatera - After Netherlands ignored the UN Security Council Resolution 67, Yogyakarta was attacked by the nationalists that was led by Lieutenant Colonel Soeharto. The offensive "General Offensive of 1 March 1949" used "Janur Kuning" as the password, so this offensive is also known as "Janur Kuning Offensive". TNI (Indonesia National Army) successfully occupied Yogyakarta for 6 hours before drawn to each post to avoid counter-attack from Netherlands army - Because of the offensive, Netherlands was willing to abide by resolution - After the Dutch-Indonesian Round Table Conference, United States if Indonesia was made. There was 7 states and 9 autonomous regions. One of the states was RI (Republic of Indonesia). The transfer of sovereignty was held in 3 places (1. Amsterdam, Netherlands; 2. Jakarta, Indonesia; 3. Yogyakarta, Indonesia) - Months after the United States of Indonesia gained its indepence, the states forced to join RI. And at 17 August 1950, United States of Indonesia was dissolved and Republic of Indonesia be an independent country.

Btw, I heard that Netherlands didn't want to admit that Belgium was an independent country before London Treaty. Belgium Revolution spent Netherlands state cash, and then the Culture Stelsel (forced planting) happened in Netherlands East Indies to full Netherlands state cash again

It was a part of support from outside. Without other countries help, it will be so hard to be an independent country. Oh yes. This kind of thing happened to Belgium too (Belgium Revolution). Netherlands didn't want to admit that Belgium was an independent country. Then the Europe countries forced Netherlands to, and then there was London Agreement 1839. Thenn because they ran out of money after war, Cultuur Stelsel was started in East Indies
