Time has some meh attacks and strikes but Alteration Ritual is super powerful since it can give you any boon, strike, cast, etc. for an amount of time.

@ 1:05:22 You got an actual upgrade in rarity on one of your abilities. Then immediately after, you go on a rant about getting lower rarity spells and abilities. Why not just take the things you want when they show up and then wait for the rarity upgrade later? Also, you were banishing things when you said you wanted a higher rarity of them. That is not the way the game works. If you banish a skill or ability, it banishes all tiers of that ability. As for gods, Krom is good, even with the nerf, Time is amazing with Alteration Ritual being top tier since it can give you any ability from any of the gods (to include legendarys), Justice is great because of the survivability she can give, the earth goddess is good as she has a mix of offensive and defensive abilities (even though you kept banishing everything that would have helped with survival). Lightning, Summer, and Mort are all good, but much mor weighted towards damage dealing abilities than utility or survivability. If you are having trouble or feel that this game is hard, take some survival options. Even if they seem minor or don't "look good" they will have a fairly massive effect and can usually be upgraded later. Considering the levels you can get up to during a run, there will almost always be a chance to upgrade later. Plus, as the saying goes: death is the ultimate damage modifier/you can't deal damage when you are dead. Good luck on your next run. Edit: 1:23:15 Did I really just hear you say that a level 1 Chain Lightning was "not so much" when compared to how "good" level 5 Tornados was...? Really? A bit of selective vision/confirmation bias there. At least you realized that Earth Spike was not good. How did your Attack (at 101 DPS) have the highest DPS of that run? Just wondering if you were looking at the same end screen you showed.

The reason you don't just take something you want as it shows up is because it costs a level up to upgrade it. Why spend an additional level to upgrade the rarity when you have rerolls/alterations? You can just find something else that's good at a higher rarity and hope it shows up again later. Banishing something you want at a lower rarity does not make sense though. The damage and DPS is not linear for chain lightning and tornadoes. You can't just look at the damage and DPS at the end screen and say level 5 Tornadoes 2.8m damage 2.4k DPS therefore it did 560k damage 480 DPS per level. Similarly, you can't look just at damage and DPS when considering the utility of a blessing. Tornadoes pulls mobs in and keeps them away from you while it gets killed, which improves survivability, whereas chain lightning is just straight damage. Similarly, you cannot just rely on damage and DPS to determine how good a blessing is. Earth spike is still really good because it does high damage in a small AOE in front of you as opposed to wide AOEs like Tornadoes or Chain Lightning. Against a single tanky mob or boss, I'd gladly take Earth Spike over Tornadoes or Chain Lightning, but against a hoard, I'd rather Tornadoes or Chain Lightning in most cases. The attack Wander was talking about is Rampaging attack because that's his auto attack. If you're going to be condescending, then you better be right about it or you just look like an ass.

Why banish an ability u picked will that just leave u with an ability that can't be upgraded and take up a slot, or am i not seeing a benefit

The point is that he doesn't want anything for that slot, so by picking one he removes the others from the pool, then by banishing it after he removes THAT one from the pool, freeing up the pool so what he actually wants shows up more often in future level ups. It's a form of Deck/Probability curation.
