@@popsicIes He is even more soft spoken than the English dub made him to be. In the En he is sarcastic a little edgy. In the JP or CN however, he's a bit gentler and mischievous. For example, when he said "I'm not picky, so I'll eat whatever you make." is changed into "If it's something that you made, then I'll eat it." It's not much, but you can clearly see the different emotions he's emanating from those slightly different lines.

@@-_-_N_-_- Ohh. I don't think the JP version is necessary something we can consider the 'source' material since Hoyo is CN, not JP, so I'm going to take the former into account here. It's a bit odd that his official version would pen him to be more soft-spoken and kinder to the traveler despite their history. Don't get me wrong, I love soft Wanderer, but I feel as though having him be all sweet and nice isn't fitting for his character at this point in time. Feels like he needs to go through more development considering where we left off with him. Having him say "if it's something you made, then I'll eat it" comes off too fanservice-ey.
