Thank gosh you guys helped this sweet girl! I hope this was a wake up call for the owner. She needs to be more responsible for the simple fact she owns a pitbull. Glad this was a happy ending!

Thanks guys, for your work. Especially in the heat. I know how it gets there. I got a Pitty/Rottie mix puppy from a guy recently who was rehoming them at a store. I posted telling him how great she is, and people flagged it, saying the post violated local regs, but I reposted, saying neither he nor I were violating (I was 😡 that they flagged). Pits are legal where I live. I wasnt at all encouraging overbreeding. The guy was so scared, and desperate to rehome his babies. He took from his money for food, and put it into the oopsie litter. So I fed him, and bought food for the puppies he was trying to rehome. I didnt have time to give him info where he could get discount spay, but I will put the info on my post. Again, thanks. I learn a lot from these videos.

If the dog was cared for and well fed and her skin looked very good. The dog was very happy to see her too. When she looked everywhere for her dog, means she wanted her dog back too. The people at Villalobos have been doing this for a very long time, they know when dogs are taken care of and when they aren’t, trusting their judgment for sure is a must here. Also, the owner said she let her go into the enclosed porch, not that she lets her out on her own outside of it, the dog got out of the porch, it can happen to anyone. Besides that, judging someone for not knowing about microchip in a rural area? Really people? Not everyone is so modern or has all the money, have you seen how much vet bills run for? Have some patience and compassion and understand that dogs are still available to everyone on all walks of life and all economic circles. Be companionate to other humans. If she didn’t want her dog, she wouldn’t look for her.

I'm surprised that Villalobos didn't make a point to get that owner to do the right thing . Maybe they really can't but I would of taken the time to get that owner to fix her dog so no more puppies wonder if she'd of been so happy to get her dog back then ? Bet not ! Jmo. Not everyone has the resources or knowledge to tag and microchip. In many neighborhoods that’s just not a common practice, and people can get lulled into a false sense of security about their dog coming back. It doesn’t mean Sassy isn’t loved. Part of Villalobos’s mission in New Orleans is to provide education and support for people like Shannon who may not realize the importance of or have the funds for tags and microchips. Sassy was happy to be home and is more likely to stay home, that’s what matters.

Boy was that woman phony - including her hair....surprised she wasn't wearing 6 in eyelashes as well. If she really cared that much about her dog, she would have had a collar on her with her name and phone number, and the dog would be microchipped.
