This was totally a last minute trip, i had hear about this place from a friend who also made a Vlog about this place, i had watched his vlog and saw he had no issues and he even flew his drone, so i didnt think there would be any issues...i was wrong! But it all got sorted out, i will link his channel also for more info on this hugely important place! i now have more info about this place so Farah and i plan to go back to see the parts we missed!
This place has a BRUTAL history with numerous wars over the years, where thousands were killed ,both Iranians and Iraqis.
Of course i was joking when i said we would get shot by Iran if we went into their waters. But there are a lot of problems with the fishermen that sometimes drift with the currents into Irans waters getting arrested and detained.
like i said, i plan on going back to do another vlog here as its such a hugely important place.... the history is too much to write here, but a google search will tell you what went on here....amazing people as always in Iraq! A huge thank you to Farah for everything ❤️
