Hello Mike and Lynn...from Ouray, CO! Thank you for highlighting your ebikes and grill accessories!! Those Xpremiums look like a great upgrade with the extra battery! Oh yes.....people just out there doing WHATEVER they want with no consideration to others...that is a pet peeve! I agree with all of your pet peeves for camping; I share the same ones, pretty much! Dogs off leash (I get it, my dog lives a 99% of the time off his leash life; but not in a campground or other very public area), dog poop left laying around public areas (I have a 10ft rule when out in the national forest and on a trail; if he poops within 10 feet of the trail, it better be picked up), walking trough somebody else's campsite...are you kidding me; what person ever thinks that is ok, camp trash left on the ground and not picked up, and parking on another campsite that is actively being used. With regards to cooking, I can't stand it when doing inside cooking. I don't like it....I don't have the attention span to follow a recipe and see it through. However, I do like cooking out on the grill. It seems the grill is easier; just throw the item on the grill and cook until done to your satisfaction! I don't mind dishes, either. But, I hate cleaning up left overs. Have an awesome rest of your week! Alan

I’m happy to see the shutdown is finally over and you guys are back on the road. I’m with you on campground etiquette, though we do struggle a little bit on the encroachment with our youngest. Despite telling him 3-30 times a day, he still runs through other campsites to get where he is going sometimes. It’s a work in progress. There is no excuse for adults however. I think promoting awareness is probably the best we can do as nobody wants a confrontation in a campground. Camping is supposed to be fun after all.

I live full time in my rv at an rv resort. Have been here for 7yrs now and really do enjoy it. I to dislike the lack of common courtesy and etiquette of some campers. It seems to happen much more often now days then before. I was raised to have respect for the people around me and to have just plain ole common courtesy to people. I believe that is a thing of the past these days. I to despise the cut through campers and non responsible pet owners. You know the ones that think it's there right to own a pet but not be responsible for it. People today are just so concerned about themselves and to heck with everybody else. I have often wondered what one of these people would think if i just went for a walk and when i had to take a leak just unzipped and let it fly all over there car/truck/rig tires. Then just smile with that I don't care about anyone other them myself grin. Those people would be the first ones to raise all kinds of crap if that was to happen to them. Awesome channel and do enjoy the content. Great job guys.

Camping Etiquette, loud music is #1!. Music is ok but I shouldn't hear it 2 campsites over, play it at a level that can be heard only on your site. I hated it when RV manufacturers started putting outside speakers on campers. As far as dogs on leashes your right they should be contained to your site! We have been using a wireless invisible fence system with our dogs at the campground. So they appear to to be off the leash but they are still contained. They usually explore and find their boundary, then spend most of the time laying under the camper!
@WanderingWagners2 жыл бұрын

Walking through an unoccupied site, meaning no one is there, and it's not rented isn't a problem to pass through. Poor campground etiquette was one of the reasons I stopped camping. The worse case for me, finding a young girl climbing up the ladder on my trailer while I was in my trailer. I went over to talk to the parents beside me and they just brushed it off. In the same campground, campers with a dog with about a 50 foot leash rushing my dog as I walked by their campsite. Campground was in a state park in NC, near Murrysville. Also other pet peeves, campers who do not respect quiet hours, campfire smoke from neighbors campfires, screaming kids (always girls), people who do not clean their site before departing, diesel engines running early in the morning for long periods of time before departing.

We're seasonal campers so we leave our camper on site all the time. We pay $3100.00 a year. We just got a new site this year because the neighbors we had would constantly walk back and fourth across our site to our other neighbors site. They didn't care and they purposely did it. We asked them not to. At times they'd walk across and make comments to us about it. We couldn't even sit out behind our camper at a fire because they were so loud and foul mouthed. I'm no angel but it was bad. We'd have friends up to eat and sometimes they'd still walk across our site. They wanted us out so some friends could move in. My mom and dad's old site opened up and we jumped on that next to some life long good friends. We are so much happier.

I have seen those problems with bad campers more often than not. Most times it is at state parks too. No one is out policing the grounds so people feel they can do what they want. To answer your question about telling people when they do something wrong...I would love to say "YESY", but given these times and just how stupid and self-entitled people are along with how easily triggered they get because they feel they can do no wrong I would have to say "NO" just out of personal safety. The ones doing the bad stuff are typically the morons so they would no doubt go off on you or even get violent. We had some guy and his family at Cesear Creek State Park park 3 cars and a massive boat partially in our site. They were obnoxious people too. The camp host there was really just there for the free camping. The park was terrible, the hosts did nothing, and the people there were doing whatever they wanted with no care of others. We could not wait to leave. We will never be back there.
@WanderingWagners2 жыл бұрын
Yeah we see it bad at State parks too. It happens at private parks because seasonal people think because they are there all the time they can go anywhere including your site. So annoying!
@007KrausBean2 жыл бұрын
@@WanderingWagners YES, The seasonal people can be the worst. They think they own everything. I know the couple parks we have been where there are a lot of seasonals they are typically the ones that have trashed sites and make the rest of the park bad. Always noting those parks because we won't go back to them. Let the trash attract trash, I say. HA!

Dogs off leash is a no no. Walking through neighbor’s campsite is not good either. People are not respectful of other people’s areas - campsite in this case. Yes, I believe you should say something - if nothing else you are informing people and it will make you feel better than not saying anything!
@WanderingWagners2 жыл бұрын
If I don't say something the look on my face well let them know I'm not happy then they try to make nice small talk as they continue to trespass🤦🏼♀️😂

7:03 if it really bothers you, I might put up a polite sign or two. I thought you were going to reference rules of which I’m ignorant but what you describe sounds like common courtesy. And that…is beyond unfortunate.
@WanderingWagners Жыл бұрын
It's common knowledge/courtesy and basic camping etiquette. Plus, it is in the rules. If you tell/confront people they always get super defensive when they know they're in the wrong

@@WanderingWagners I hope my comment didn’t come across as push-back. I just meant that one needn’t been too conversant in camping culture to realize that those examples are poor form on anyone’s part. I hope things have improved.

Agree with campground etiquette, but usually bite my tongue Being a cyclist, I really struggle with e-bikes especially with healthy folks. At 66 with back surgery last year and leg neuropathy, I usually pedal 6 days a week. Mountain and gravel bike 15-50 miles per day. My tombstone might say he died happy and never gave into e-bike. E-bikes, I don’t get it.
@WanderingWagners2 жыл бұрын
It's hard to bite my tongue sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. eBikes I think have a fun factor that brings people into them. And knowing if they can't pedal as far as they'd like to go, that they can still go with the assistance.

Mid drives aren't the same as what your used to its designed to shift through the gears. You want to be in gear 1 starting from a dead stop or when coming to a stop.

I never understood why some pet owners think dog's on a leash rule doesn't apply to them. Apparently the rules apply to all others except them. I made mention a couple times, but it's generally not well received and leaves you with bad vibes. It's not worth the effort. I just leave them alone and go on my way.
@WanderingWagners2 жыл бұрын
We agree.. We don't understand. I don't care how well trained you think your dog is, just follow the rules and there will be no accidents! I will complain to them about pets not on leashes if it comes into our site/near my dogs because that's dangerous
