Another great video, Adam! Thank you for a new amazing walk and your positive (especially singing with squeaky gates😁 ). Love to see how your new Galaxy crib is transformed, looks so spacious and comfortable inside👍 Sad to hear about Cornwall and I totally agree with your reasoning. I always liked to go there, but now staying in noisy hotels or campsites with their extortionate prices - no thanks, there are many other great places in the UK where you can come and relax in nature freely)) Hope they change their attitude towards visitors when the money start leaking to other places. P.S. Adam, next time don't turn into the parking at Castleton, if you drive a little further up the road you can almost always find a free spot on the side of Old Mam Tor Road🌿☀🌿

Hi Adam, I live in Cornwall and you're right, the amount of park up spots have dwindled away to hardly anything. There are some that vanlifers frequent but they aren't scenic at all. The council want ppl to pay over the odds for accommodation instead 😡 I hope you can get down here one day though if someone can let you know about some stealthy spots. Great vid btw, they get better and better! 😂

Come on Cornwall Most of us want to visit and buy a coffee early morning and after a massive walk eat in a lovely home cook food pub. Most Motorhome people live in city’s and work in city’s and love the slow life of what we call a slow life. Come on all residents of Cornwall stand up for your right.

Just a thought about Cornwall Adam. If you get to a campsite to late to book in ie after the reception is shut they let you sleep in the car park until it reopens in the morning. Hey presto right there is your overnight camping spot. Roll up late sleep and get on your way before reception opens up again. Happy days. Just be aware of the registration recognition cameras though.

My daughter is 8yrs old so I’m waiting till she’s old enough to hopefully be able to experience adventures together. Shame about Cornwall! I'm a Doc Martin fan - been to Port Isaac four times to watch filming. Saw today yet another press article where locals in the village bad mouth the "Clunatic" visitors!! I won't be going back. Clearly Cornwall doesn't want us emmets (that's what they call outsiders = ants!) adding to the local ecomony. Save your cheese, spend it where folk are at least friendly and welcoming. 😊 Can't beat the Peak District. Not far from me too. Winnats Pass is fabulous. Love the new crib and your cooking spot always makes me smile. Keep on being you.... Yerno, Yerno. 💖 I could knit you a beanie with those noodles. Now there's a thing.....get a bit overheated on a hike. Feel a bit hungry......eat your beanie. 🤣

I live not far from Castleton in nearby beautiful Buxworth where we have lots of fantastic walks (Eccles Pike, Chinley Churn, Whaley Moor, Ringstones, Goyt Valley, Wind Gather Rocks etc). The local pub here, The Navigation Inn, run by Roger & Jan, will let you stay over for free in a vehicle in his historic canal basin car park as long as you give them your registration and use his pub, food drink etc. Campers always stay across the road from the pub too in the lane running down the Peak Canal, not sure if you have to pay the Canal Trust for it though? It could be free? There are always plenty of camper vans here all year round. When we visit Castleton, we always go to the Cheshire Cheese Inn and use their free car park across the road from it. We always buy a meal and couple of fine ales in there too as it's the best pub there and you can have a walk around the trinket shops or even venture down the Devils arse too! .

The only way I can see that Cornwall is remotely possible for vans/car camping is by calling ahead for pub carparks and buying a meal. Worked last year for me in some lovely spots. Some of the locals on the other hand were particularly vile. I'm a gigging musician hand have 2 weeks of gigs booked for August but after a lot of soul searching the amount of money pubs are paying for musicians against the overheads of the travel and then paying pub meal prices I'll walk away with bugger all income. Yes I'd get a couple of weeks down in Cornwall but I'll be working most nights til midnight, then by the time I've packed away and eaten and chilled down enough to sleep itll be 2am. Then gotta drive to the next venue 1st thing nxt day. Not going to leave much time for fun, and all the while being side eyed by the locals. Such a bloody shame....
@wanderingwhere Жыл бұрын
Sounds like it might not be worth the hassle ... seems the way with cornwall such a shame spent many a summer there as a kid, learnt to surf there, real shame, it used to have a great culture of free spirited lifestyle and in a way was why it became popular back in the day, guess like some other places that mostly gone now
