I haven't been to the Field Museum since I was in 4th grade, and I'm so happy they kept the Jewels exhibit. It is by far my favorite one they have there

So you think New York is more prestigious than Chicago huh? Not even close at least for me. I prefer Chicago over NY any day of the week.
@WanderlustWellman3 жыл бұрын
I would probably prefer Chicago as well, but I think generally NYC is recognized as more prestigious or at least more well-known than Chitown

when I was a child and we would go there, my father would tell me all the animals were found dead on the street.

Ok first off don’t look at it as a museum but a library of life 2nd Chicago is more than a Midwest metropolis it has some of the smartest scientists and people of the natural feild 3rd have you done Brookfield zoo if not it is a must do

I think that is a good way to describe it!

THE SEVEN-TON T-REX AT THE FIELD MUSEUM IN CHICAGO IS JUST ONE OF THE CREATURES THAT HAVE WALKED THE EARTH OVER HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF YEARS. I KNOW ABOUT THIS BEFORE I MET MY FORMER SUITORS FLORENTINO S. SUSALO III IN ZAMBOANGA CITY MEDICAL CENTER WARD-2 NEUROLOGICAL-ORTHOPEDIC WARD ZAMBOANGA CITY. HE LOVES MY ATTITUDE.

How long were you there ? If we want to walk through everything, how many hours would it take ?
@WanderlustWellman2 жыл бұрын
I'd say we were there for a solid 3 hours or so. And it really depends, some people try to read every single thing about each exhibit and that would probably double your time at the museum. I think walking through every exhibit could be done in as little as 3 hours or as long as 6.
@desiroo2792 жыл бұрын
@@WanderlustWellman thanks for the reply!! With little kids , we may wanna keep 4-5 atleast I think!
@AmbientMorality2 жыл бұрын
@@desiroo279 For what it's worth, we spent 6 hours and covered maybe 1/3 of the museum (not even counting ticketed exhibits). Wide range depending on how in-depth you want to go
@punklover99 Жыл бұрын
It really is one of those "can't see the whole thing in a day" places. Ticketed exhibits are always changing. Check the schedule to see what's coming and going

The museum rotates, changes. You're seeing a different museum then I did in the same bldng

I’m heading up there soon for my first visit in about 5 years! Can’t wait to see the new stuff! Also, being of close Native American heritage: There is no need for any of you guys to feel any “White Guilt” for conquering the Americas in the same way that natives were doing it before Europeans arrived.

Sorry for the nitpick but the paleontology nerd in me just has to get into the pedantic details. Sue actually hasn't conclusively been the largest T rex specimen for a while with Scotty beating her out (though like most things in paleontology this is debated) just slightly. She is still the most complete though being 90% done whereas Scotty is only 60.
