Dude when wando all compacted together and played so loud with good tone, it was amazing. That was a big moment.

I just realized they have green plumes. Oh and I saw Wando's 2011 show last night at Walterboro. My whole band loves it guys. Love, CFHS

2012's show for us was according to the directors, the hardest show we have done. I am happy to be apart of Wando and look forward to next years show. :D

everyone has their own signature something. Wando has good rips and big brass and they know how to use it.

Lexington High completely maxed out at the finals, but I guess it wasn't good enough. Still we felt great about it, as you might have heard after our show.

Greer did the plume trick in '05 as well i think. And i'm sure that someone did it well before them. It's not about who does it first. It's all about how visually effective it is.
@rootbeer12069414 жыл бұрын
I think wando deserves first place. Boiling springs had a fantastic performance as well as all the other bands. But wando pulled .6 points above second place. I think it was really close, but again they deserve first.

@TheRealPiggles lol if you really think summerville '08 was the first band to do a plume change, it'd be good for you to look up Ronald Reagan HS 2002 at BOA grand nationals.

@gorillaman127 Wando does not have to try out for band, and they pay band fees just like every other school. Trips to Indianapolis, Florida, and Georgia are obviously going to be a little more expensive than staying at local and in-state competitions.

@KiOxWrecKageGB They obviously didn't have the effect Boiling Springs had however.

Wando is an AMAZING band and i only found 2 mistakes out of the whole show besides a interval problem here and there. #1 tuba fell, but he recovered really nicely #2 later on the tubas were all in time except for one at 4:40(the one at the top). I do still think though that it isn't fair that they got first but then again y would they not if it only happened to one and it was probably just a little wet and slippery

@papajohn5656 I was saying that Summerville did the EXACT same plume trick, neon green and used to represent nature...

yeah it was very slippery especially right there about 8 steps from the hash on the 50

@oskybear haha that was my little sister!!!! She said there was a huge mud pit in the middle of the field which i believe seeing as how it had been raining the whole day before...i still laugh at it though...out of love of course

I Love This Band , But I've Heard Their First Movement Before From The Same Band - They Repeat A Lot Of Stuff. But They Are Quite Amazing Though.
@papajohn565614 жыл бұрын
@Glaedr144 @crosmyheartnhopeudie you don't get points deducted for falling. if you recover well it may help, but overall a fall really has no impact as long as the whole band isn't falling over each other because they can't march.

5A is a whole different ball game. "Themed" shows wont make it like "Concept" shows do. Prime example, Byrnes. 4A power, mediocre 5A. Good luck though. This will be an interesting 5A state to say the least.

No offense but that plume trick looked extremely familiar... Summerville '08? Also, why does your band keep repeating music you've already played? Someone needs to come up with some new ideas asap because rehashing other bands tricks and replaying your old songs is getting old FAST!
