WCQ is on another level. Watching the live stream, there were many moments LJK was frustrated. Not with his game, but not being able to raise himself to the level of WCQ. WCQ really has this cold and calculated assassin demeanor. Technically an expert, very few mistakes or unforced errors. We see him winning at the Paris Olympics.

The power and the speed combo of Wang Chuqin is just inhumanly. I don't think throughout the table tennis history, anyone can surpass Wang in terms of agility, power, reaction, aggression, skill balance, movement and above all, consistency in the fast pace rally. Liang was in great shape in the tournament beating two of brightest stars in Harimoto and Lin, yet, he was no match with a peak Wang. Wang's peak form is even better than that of his role model and big brother Ma Long, that is how incredible he is. The next few years is no doubt Wang's era. The gap between him and the rest of the world including top Chinese is so obvious. He might just be the ceiling a modern table tennis player can reach.

Sadly this wasn't simply just a match that Liang would go home and wish he played better, this was a clear skill gap issue, and he has to contend with the fact that he's just not good enough, that Wang is just better. Liang was literally pulling all the stops, best he could, not enough.

The second strongest player this Tournament can also only win 1 game against WCQ! He has played 14 matches this week. WCQ is really the talent in perhaps 100 years. FZD, LJY, Harimotor, Lebruns, Truls, Lin shidong, they are all very talented, but i think WCQ is the best of them. He was approximately same level like Harimotor Truls LJY, but he has made a really great Progress since last two years. It will be very interesting to see, whether he always reach every finals in double, mixed double and single, and win 3 titles 😊

Liang stood absolutely no chance in this constant bombarding 😮 What a absolute stronghold Wang laid down! In the last couple of years i rarely saw any top5 player get dominated that hard! Its crazy. Wang was pushed back into that last remaining walls of his city castle, only the arrival of the Winged Hussarls trampling down WCQ could change the outcome of that match! Last time i witnessed things like that was when MaLong was like 24 and forhand topspinned everybody into oblivion from 3m away. This of course was with the old ball and overall a very different game, tacticwise. However. Amazing match and great fairplay by both! ❤

Wang Chuqin - He's SO sharp right now. He must have an Achilles heel, but good luck finding it! There's no doubt he was the best in this competition. Now I'm intrigued to see if he can play at the same insane level consistently competition after competition. I would suggest he's very much cementing his place in the Chinese Olympic team.

I wouldn't say more dangerous. He is just more aggressive than ML, it's just his style. WCQ imposes his game on the opponent, on the contrary ML adjusts his game according to a opponent during the game.

This is very high quality playing from both players. Liang Jingkun shows why he is in the final, but Wang Chuqin is clearly the #1 player in the world right now. He just seems to be a little bit faster than everyone else in terms of reaction time. To me, that's the singular difference between WCQ and LJK in this match. Wang also possesses a great arsenal of powerful shots both forehand and backhand and dominates the match by being aggressive and putting pressure on his opponent regardless who he plays against. It's very rare that someone beats him outright with superior play. The last time I remember this happening was at Frankfurt in Nov. 2023 when Lin Yun-ju outplayed Wang in the semi-final, 4 to 2, and gave Wang a taste of his own medicine. But you have to be perfect or near perfect to beat him. That happens rarely.

Lin is pretty interesting. He's the only one as aggressive if not even more aggressive than WCQ, but he makes mistakes so often. That's why he can't be consistently top contender, but when he doesn't, he' s extremely hard to beat.

Насколько Лианг хорошо держит мяч в перекрутах с сильным вращением, но на фоне Ван он как вратарь отбивался. видно ему не хватает скорости и реакции да и ног тоже. Хотя быстрого Харимото выиграл уверенно. Но с Ваном не может играть вообще никто. Потрясающая работа ног. Он как бы наступает и наваливается на каждый мяч прокручивая его длинным размашистым движением. Как правило двух-трёх ходовка больше никто возвращать и не может. Не помню чтоб какой либа теннисист когда нибудь так двигался как Ван

For people talking about how WCQ completely dominated LJK in this match, remember that before this Liang actually had a winning record (4-3 matches) against WCQ and Liang has been able to upset the very top chinese players in key tournaments before.

Indeed this victory for WCQ is his very first victory against LJK since defeating LJK 4-1 in 2020 Qatar Open. It has been four years. After that, no matter if it is an international or domestic tournament, WCQ cannot defeat LJK anymore. While the H2H says 4-3 for LJK, I believe it is much more.

Una locura Wang. But el año pasado estuvo muy reñido entre el Y fan zhendong. Siii es merito de Wang pero tambien hy que decir que bajaron mucho el nivel algunos chinos como Fan y ma long.
