The cast of untamed said there were some intense emotional scene when they had to help Xiao Zhan separate from role because he had to breakdown his personality and restructure himself to become one with the character

Are you kidding they may focus on acting or their voices but still voices are to be dubbed theer as many other sounds on set which should not come in drama and their voices are very coarse so If you want a good drama then dubbing is the best option

@@vaishnavi_2885 Yes, dubbing has always been a part of Chinese drama/cinema production, there's nothing viewers can do about it. Especially because it DOES make the final product better and smooth (eliminating noises and all that). It's just I'm incredibly glad that the voice acting was done by the voice-actors who dubbed the donghua and audio drama CD. And we know the audio drama IS FAITHFUL to the source material, so viewers can fill the gaps of what had been censored in the drama😏😏 It's satisfying in a way. Because drama Lan Zhan IS novel Lan Zhan. And drama Wei Ying IS novel Wi Ying. 😁😁❤️❤️

The most frustrating thing is that most of the actors have the perfect voices for their roles too. Don't get me wrong, the voice actors did an amazing voice and a lot of them are great at amplifying the characters' feelings. It's just that... It would've also been very nice if we could've also watched a version with the OG voices. I know that Yibo was offered to dub because his voice is so deep, but Xiao Zhan also has the perfect voice for WWX. Same goes for most of the cast. Welp, at least we've got Director Nie lmao

@@jcmkate5727 I believe it means Nie Huai Sang. I read he used his original voice. As for "director", I think it means that he became a sect leader after the death of his brother. Of course, I might be totally wrong.

I think the "director Nie" thing refers to Huaisang being the secret mastermind behind everything that happens in the present, yknow, like he's directing the story from the shadows

xiao zhan's screams give me chills. i didn't feel like this with the dubbing. don't get me wrong, i think the VAs did amazing and it's a bonus that wwx has the same VA as he did in the audio drama, but i think their original voices would portray even more emotion than the dubbing since they're all already so in character.

I understood the challenge. amazing crews!!! luckily we don’t dub the original actor/actress’s voice, the audiences never complain about the dialect’s tone. with so many tribes in my country, we have different types of dialect, oh wait worst... different languages. But we laughed at it between peers. the more silly we sounded the more fun we laugh, good old day.

Creo que necesitan que tener el mismo "accent", y la mayoria de esas programas debe hacerlo. Hay algunas que no lo hicieron - por ejemplo, en "GankYour Heart" y "Love Actually" de Yibo, él tuvo su propia voz. Lo siento por mi español.

It is a media requirement for major productions in China - although some shows do not dub, most do out of habit. It has to do with making sure that all actos have the same main accent/dialect.

Sometimes artists welcome it because then they just need to focus on their acting but some older actors may insist on using their own voice, especially the seasoned ones, but they need to be already trained. I assume there is a learning curve.

They are really very good in voice but it is still very beautiful to be dubbed similar to anime voices due to familiarity. I think the anime exist first before the untamed😉....I am thinking what if they were dubbed with female voices for male voices and male voices for female roles🤣🤣

Every voice actor did a great job, however I highly preferred original cast voices. To me they sound better, especially wei wuxian. But I know I only say this because I don't know mandarin. I can't percieve the accent and how it could possibly ruin the drama. It makes me a bit sad, because I can really feel the emotions in the og actors' voices, it makes me cry. However, damn, the voice actors did such a great job I didn't even know it was dubbed by different actors. Such a great work

I understand why people prefer real actor’s voice , but I want you guys to know that the voice actor not only have good accents,but they really good at expressing the character feelings. Many actor and actress gave interviews that they learned a lot from the voice actor. I really like Xiaozhan’s voice ,but his voice is too deep for wei wuxian. Wei wuxian’s voice should be playful and sound like someone who keep things in his heart at the same time. When wwx angry his voice should sound like he doesn’t care who he arguing with. And when he with shijie he should sound like a baby, not a man , not even a teenager , just the baby when he wants to cuddle with his mom. Xiaozhan’s voice does not sounds like that, he sounds like a man that protect me with his warm hug. Also, Yibo his voice is too husky. In my opinion , Yibo can use his own voice ,but he need to be more gentle in the 16 year later part. LWJ’s voice should be like a forest under sunshine in that part. You may thinks who tf am I to say things like a voice director, but this is what I feel when I read the novels.
