@@runner05 I'm into all kinds of racing, I am passionate about it because I enjoy methodically building a car that drives exactly the way I want, then pushing it to it's limits and smelling the catless exhaust fumes and burning rubber as the car rides the powerband through the curves. That's what it's all about!!! It's a feeling worth dying for. I will definitely take a look at Shuto Kusuko Trail, thanks for the recommendation!

If I'm not mistaken that's Manabu "Max" Orido's Supra back when he still had it that factory Blue Mica Metallic color, his car was featured in that spec you see at 12:30 in TXR3/SB01 and TXR Drift but in later games like TXRD2 they used his red Supra like he has it currently (well sort of, he took off the wing and went for a BMW M3 CSL style trunk/hatch that has a small ducktail integrated into the hatch lid).

Tuner scene was the silver lining of the gentleman's agreement cloud. Back then engines were actually built for RACING and those legendary power plants were detuned in order them to be sold to the public and thus created the golden era of tuning where tuners, either individuals or small businesses elevated themselves into legendary status. These people tune until their ledger turn red to achieve perfection. Tuning has become a form of art itself but today, wonder if this art could survive as engines today aren't like it used to be and some of them are already powerful that tuning isn't necessary anymore.
@Full_Otto_Bismarck2 жыл бұрын
There is always power "left on the table" with a stock engine. The manufacturers have to get the engines to the customer in a state where they will last for many years while being treated with the minimum of care. The margins of durability can always be shrunken by a tuner to extract more power. It's a fine balance.

It's mostly down to gearing and power to weight. 2000 horsepower drag cars that are built for acceleration over top speed are not at all comparable to a, let's say, 800 horsepower car geared for top speed.

Around where I live canyon-type driving is always a big risk. Most of the roads are full of houses, all can and will have cyclists and pedestrians wandering about at all hours of the day and night. Only decent non-residential road within comfortable driving distance attracts tons of overnight campers. Complain about these things on a car forum at your own risk; it's likely you will be wolfpacked by "car enthusiasts" who are actually bicycle enthusiasts with a very passing interest in cars, and will forever be known on that forum as the evil, selfish, reckless fascist who wants to take away everyone's RIGHTS so you can race.
@BunkerBlog4 жыл бұрын
@@ChainsawChuck13 True about the last part. Not just limited to "car" forums either. I go on a lot of powersports forums (ATVs/UTVs/dirt bikes, that sort of thing) and the people there are all the same. They'll spend $20k+ on a RZR 1000 Turbo just to putt around on trails and get mad at people who want to go fast. Makes you wonder if they're really enthusiasts at all.
