I just found this song today. Im living this song, back injury/broken ankle needing back surgery. Workers Comps/The state refuses to pay. The insurance from work refuses to pay, pain management is giving me handfuls of pills that don't work. Im tired of the pain. Just waiting to tie up some loose ends and the holidays for my son, and then Im done. Moral of the story don't work for the Commonwealth of Kentucky they don't care about you.

Brother, I was raised in a catholic school, but more protestant Christian these day- due to the legalism and idolatry of Catholicism; though I clearly have idolised other things in my adulthood. I've pushed myself to follow the bible the past couple.of years and this song speaks to me. And biblically, too, because it highlights the plight of man where we are far from perfect, and we submit to the false hope that worldly things give. There's parts of this song that also screams save me too, but the man in us can scream louder than the Holy Spirit in us when we cover our ears to that voice of Him

Congratulations! It takes a lot of courage, strength and determination to get thru this crap. I watched my dad go thru it. He O.Ded 3 times b4 finally losing his life from an acute morphine O.D. then 13 years ago I got with my husband and he turned to meth and I fit and fit to get hom off and that took a lot out of me but while I was fighting him to get him clean I turned to opioids. Both of us are clean now. I have been clean since Dec 2020 and he's got and extra year more than me under his belt..

Not trying to be the “dickhead” here just clarifying what is actually said in the song, so take this however you’d like but….the ending of song lyrics I’m almost positive its the complete opposite of what the rest of the song lyrics were and instead of it being, “..there’s no way out right now and it’s showin’…” It’s actually “…there’s ONLY ONE WAY OUT right now and it’s showin’…” and then instead of where you have, “…I know I should open that book and turn to the page where it’s said, “I don’t wanna be saved…” It’s actually, “…I know I should open that book and turn to the page where HE said, “I don’t wanna be saved…” which may not be a big deal that you messed up the lyrics slightly, but the ending and those “simple” lil mistakes in lyrics is actually one part of what makes this whole song that much more powerful. Bc of what is actually said. An again I mean, correct me if I’m wrong…but just figured I’d point out that mistake so maybe others that might not have picked up on that transition Austin did there at the end, ppl will actually now be able to see what he did there at the end of the song.
