"Wanna Be Startin' Somethin" Sugarfoot DRUM CAM [split screen] - HIStory Tour

Note: I was the only performer on stage Michael ever gave permission to film using an “iso camera” - which allowed me to capture my drumming during the HIStory Tour. I was blessed he allowed me to do this!!…Some parts came out a bit out of focus due to the smoke from the stage and vibrations....I apologize for this!!…I will continuously post more footage.
Also, due to the age of the tape and it being in my storages for 21 years, the tape has minor inconsistencies with the timing of the visuals and audio at times.
►About Jonathan:
Jonathan “Sugarfoot” Moffett has recorded and/or toured with some of the greatest pop artists of our time, including Elton John, Janet Jackson, The Jacksons, Quincy Jones, Diana Ross, Cameo, Lionel Richie, George Michael, Kenny G, Doug Miller, Peter Cetera, Bill Meyers, and Cirque du Soleil, besides guest appearing at popular television shows like The Tonight Show, Good Morning America, Saturday Night Live, and The Arsenio Hall Show.

That is true, but we have to admit that 1) as for "luck" he earned that seat after being chosen among thousands of the best drummers 2) as for "fans" we can agree that while normal fans can scream and dance and freak out as spectators, he was actually doing his job focusing on it and feeling the responsibility coming with that job like no fans are asked to feel. I know such experience as I am a singer and director in different choirs: same musical experience but very different approaches.

Michael directed the band when to start by giving a signal. They rehearsed this carefully. Like a move with his hands or a nod to the band leader. As for Jonathan, for certain songs where a recording was used for elements, Jonathan had a click track. Not for everything but some songs. Then there are the moments that Michael improvised and Jonathan had the ability to see it coming and lay down accents on Michael's kicks or hand gestures. That was one of the reasons Michael hired Jonathan during the Jackson period because Jonathan was the only drummer able to follow Michael and lay accents to his moves. Michael and Jonathan had a very special natural symbiosis on stage.
