Wanna see Hermione turn into a cat? Me too! Lego Harry Potter Polyjuice Potion Mistake Build

These new Harry Potter sets are modular vignettes packed full of details from the stories and the Polyjuice Potion Mistake set is the first time we get to see Hermione turn into a cat and it's an oversized costume but totally perfect. The fact that each of the characters has an alternate - Ron turning into Crabbe, Harry to Goyle - with extra hairpieces to match is so much fun, and the bathroom is a great replica of the one in the movie. It even has a flip up sink so the basilisk can roam Hogwarts. The only thing it's missing is the resident ghost Moaning Myrtle, so I added her. Fixed. I'm looking forward to stacking this on the massive Chamber of Secrets set, I really like this modular form of so many famous scenes for the 20th anniversary.

I like the idea of stacking theese "miny" sets, because they're little parts of the story, and it's like so much action is happening in one image, but even if they're small sets they're a lot of fun. I can see why you ditched the "toy" part of lego, because this way you can make a sceene and the more you view it, the more little details you find, THATS WHY I LOVE THIS SO MUCH . i just love your videos in general, but i have this thing for Harry Potter...

I know. I added Moaning Myrtle to mine. I kept the minifigures as Slytherin. Since I have 14 Ron, Harry's n Hermione. So I just put different ones in. Then the 3 Slytherins are hanging out with Draco. So he's not so lonely. I could only Put him and Hermione hiding out together in so many places.

The reason the consistency is different is because in the books, they added the hair of the person they were turning into. In the books, they do change colors drasticly though. Edit: I'm a HUGE Harry potter fan!!

Yes! That's why Crabbe's and Goyels' hair in the potion was all gross so thepotions turned a muddy green, but when Harry's hair was added in the polyjuice potion in the last book the potion turned gold 🤣

Hermione turned into a cat only because of a mistake in te polyjuice potion. She wanted to turn into one of the slytherin girls she had fought with at the dueling club (that's how she got the hair), but she had accidentally gotten the hair of the girl's cat instead, and the potion doesn't work well with animal hair. That's why she turned into a cat creature thingy 😅

(SPOILERS) 3:42 Actually there's a reason for the lack of consistency: Polyjuice Potion is said to turn into a specific color as soon as the person's hair is added into it, so one is that of the cat and the other is that of someone else. Still really happy you too got this gold-worthy set as well, since it's indeed just so great 😁😁😁
