I think you misunderstood about Balsan (the dude with long hair) since previous episode. He isn't Yichan's brother. He was just one of the dude that staying in grandma's boarding house like the others. Yichan is the only child and his grandma was his only family left. So Balsan isn't Eungyeol's uncle 😂

I think you are overlooking the fact that his dad never told him that he could listen and speak, for me it is more a feeling of never being understood by his parents, he is an excellent student, they have these aspirations for him because he has earned them If my son had those qualities I would also think that he would probably become a doctor or lawyer but I don't think he would be able to explain to his parents how he feels when he makes music because they will never be able to hear it. It's like in the movie CODA the girl's parents didn't take her seriously because they never got to hear her sing until she could basically describe to them what she was singing using sign language. btw I totally understand your point but when you see the Family Movie "la familia belier" and Coda which is basically the American version of the first movie you understand that both are basically in the same situation
